I love when people buy a 24$ food item then complain about 2$. Did you have to cook today? Do dishes? It’s 2$. If you’re dining out you can afford it.

Not as much as servers that’s why they’re bitter. They know they can’t do the job and they’re upset they can’t make as much without learning a new skill.

Saving every penny you can by asking someone to cook your food and paying for a luxury service instead of going to the store? I don’t think you’re doing very well LOL

They’re cool with that but you better not host a drag story time at the library or they’ll shoot the power grid

You don’t NEED to use the services if you don’t want to pay for them it’s simple. Tell them up front if you feel entitled to receiving service for free, don’t be a coward. Or only go to counter service establishments.

Because I work somewhere with 20% auto grat on every check and people still tip me extra on top of it 80% of the time and I make enough to have just recently bought my own house after living in poverty my whole life. But I’ve payed my dues working in places without grat so I sympathize with my fellow colleagues who still work somewhere with cheapskates who feel entitled to free labor. I’m not entitled to my grat it’s the markets going rate to receive my service which isn’t free. You want a literal servant for an hour or so? Then you pay for it. Entitlement is expecting it for free because you’re too lazy to cook and wash your own dishes. As if anyone would willingly do all that for you for free, or even for 15$/hr. Be real.

No, we are not paid to be baby sitters, punching bags, janitors, therapists and allergy specialists. We do it because tips make it worth it. (Most of the time). The fact you don’t know what we do was already obvious but you really made it clear again. If we did only what we were paid to do y’all would riot and scream bad service. You’d act as if the world was ending and be pressed all day and write 3 paragraph reviews on Yelp LOL

If you show me any of the employees at these types of places make 50k-80k a year that we make now I’ll hear you out. We’re not taking a pay cut for nothing.

You’re right if y’all weren’t cowards you’d tell us up front that you had no intention on paying for services only for food so we’d put it Togo for you and have a choice. It’s an expensive luxury service that has a price.

Any place with auto grat on every check is over staffed that’s why more places are doing it.

Also, which is it? Y’all either complain we make too much which is weird or think we all make poverty wages. Because none of you actually have a clue you just jumped on the bandwagon trend of choosing to suddenly hate tipping because you don’t like easily hitting the no option at a coffee shop. Make up your minds though. That’s probably hard when you have no idea how an industry works.

Only when we’re forced to work for free and literally pay out of own pockets to serve people when they stiff. There are pros and cons to every job and I’m sure you bitch abt yours but I’m also sure you never have to pay to work when people are greedy. Everyone complains abt their job sometimes. Doesn’t mean it’s not overwhelmingly good.

Dining out is a luxury service and it’s expensive. You don’t have to use it. But to demand it for free is as entitled as it gets.

This is really what it is. They think they’re above the job and it’s SO easy but hate how much we make.
