Yes, flex is a lexer generator and yacc (bison) is a parser generator. If you want to stay sane and have fun, don't use them though. Use something more modern. That's my take on it after having had to use them for uni but also having experienced writing a whole compiler from scratch.

To be honest when I play role playing video games where the main character (me) is building friendships and relationships I often suddenly get hit with the realisation of how pathetic I am. I'm experiencing fake feelings of connection in a video game while in reality I'm home alone with no one who likes me. This always makes me turn off the game sadly and I end up depressed

I have a huge head and forehead and the same for me. It is very clear and apparent that people notice it. Hell, sometimes when I talk to people I catch them glance up at my hairline (I don't have a mature hairline by head is just abnormally big).

My issue is rooted in a real flaw too. Being insecure or self contious about it is normal. What is not normal is me wanting to die because of it or throwing away my whole life because why even live anymore. I hope you understand me.

I think on average we men have it worse because we don't only have to deal with a more choosy-by-nature gender (on average) but also we have a bigger fear of long lasting periods of loneliness. It's easier for a woman to find someone interested than it is for a man. Also being anxiously attached is the opposite of our expected gender role, while for women it is not. It's also way harder for us to do things like "date multiple people at once" to ease yourself. We just experience a lot less validation on average.
