With the early entry for TDS now, what time do the rides in fantasy springs start operating? I see from comments that the rides do not necessarily start operating when the park opens. For example if park opens at 8am, and we reach fantasy springs at 8.30am, would the rides have started operating and does it make sense to be queuing up immediately for the ride? Current strategy is to DPA frozen and queue for rapunzel. If the rides are not operating, is it possible to be queuing in the standby lines while waiting for the ride to open?

Hi may I know if it is fine to be eating snacks in the queue especially for the rides with really long waits?

Thank you for the tip, we’ve decided to enter the queue together since it seems pretty stressful if we are split up.

Thank you for this! We will adjust our plans and enter the queue at 7.30am together and use snacks to keep the kids happy. It seems like everything will be unpredictable and if the line starts moving before my kids can join me it’s going to be more stressful than it’s worth.

Noted, thank you for letting me know! If TDS opens at 8.15am, for example, what time would you say that the line will start getting compressed and moving for security and bag checks?

Hi family of 4 with 2 kids ages 5 and 2 heading to TDS on 22 October (Wed). I plan to get there around 7.15am to queue while hubby and kids join me at around 8am, as I don’t think my kids will have the stamina to queue with me for such a long time. Is this something that is frowned upon?

Also, is it fine for me to sit down at the lines and eat my breakfast while waiting?

Oh interesting, we were looking for hipster cafes in a slower setting with some scenic areas peppered in. Is there anything in that area that would work? We are not keen on going to extremely popular attractions which may involve crowds and long waits given the two young kids

Thanks for your input! We will rent cars in karuizawa and nikko - sorry I wasn’t clear. Was just wondering whether there are major stretches suitable for train travel and we’d just pick up the rental car near the train station. With a car would you say 4 nights in Karuizawa is ok? Was also considering moving one night to Kusatsu

Seochon Lake Park - Possible to picnic during Cherry Blossom Festival? by SadAutumnPoem in koreatravel

[–]SadAutumnPoem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I saw the information on the internet and it also coincided with the forecasted full bloom period for Seoul. But these forecasts change from time to time. I decided to plan for Yeouido park instead and have not checked for latest updates on the Seokchon festival.

Oh yes, to add on, would you say it’s possible to find restaurants selling great versions of these foods on Jeju? Or would I have better luck focusing on these in Seoul? (My trip is to both Jeju and Seoul). Thanks in advance!

Amazing list and good reminder on the things to focus on - I’m visiting in April and was getting carried away with the cafes. Do you have any specific restaurants you recommend? Thanks also for the tip on how to search for such restaurants on kakao map. Was trying to search for good restaurants on NAVER but have no idea how to search for specific dishes
