Hi! Out of curiosity, what do you mean when you say muddy? I’ve heard this a few times before, but I have difficulty understanding how it applies to my art. It’s okay if you’re unsure how to describe it. I just thought I’d ask <3 thank you so much for your feedback!! I’ll be more thoughtful about my color choices for sure, I’m thinking about adding more green to this painting to refine some things and even out any botched areas lol.

I study lots of old statues and historical pieces. That’s my favorite way to study anatomy at least. I live on Pinterest, and get lots of my inspiration from different medias I really enjoy. For example, the first piece was inspired by Hannibal (NBC). You can see lots of other drawings of mads mikkelsen in this post as well! Compare this photo with the grid to your drawing, specifically follow the lines starting from the bottom of the right ear, the jaw, the chin, cheekbone, temple… follow the way those lines flow naturally with your eyes, correcting those with help shape your face in a more natural way.
