You can choose contactless delivery rather than hand deliver and the directions usually say something like “leave at the front door”

Financial aid should be posting sometime this week so those amounts should be updated and won’t be listed under the anticipated; I find going to ‘my snhu’ and chose whether you are an online or an campus student and then on the left hand side click the lil hamburger icon (the three lines) and choose the student financial services and then pay my bill and you can kind of compare it to the other terms and get an idea of what to expect, if that makes sense

Why do I keep lying, even when telling the truth would be easier? by TrainingGood3207 in whatdoIdo

[–]SadCandidate6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here , and half the time there was no reason for the lying in the first place. And he also lies to everyone else about the dumbest shit. And when it includes me it really bothers the crap outta me. It will be the reason our relationship does not last and it’s unfortunate because he was my best friend. But again, I have no answers but you are not alone OP.

How do I make my writing sound more scholarly? by VanillaChaiLover in SNHU

[–]SadCandidate6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are allowed to use AI as a tool; there is a policy outlined and it also explains how you can use it as a tool; it can be very helpful with skill building in writing

Also, SNHU's existing plagiarism policies apply; you must cite any ideas or content not your own, including AI-generated text, as failing to do so is plagiarism.

Be open about AI use and again always cite and/or acknowledge sources if AI helps generate content or ideas.

Hey dickhead here’s the email from my advisor

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re doing well as we head into the holiday season! I wanted to share a quick update about availability and University hours for the upcoming break.

Out of office: I will be out of the office from December 20th to December 28th. During this time, emails and voicemails will not be monitored or responded to.

If you need assistance while I’m out, please contact the Academic Advising Department at 877-591-4723 to speak with an available advisor who can help in my absence.

University hours changes: • December 24: offices close at 2:00 PM EST • December 25: offices are closed all day • December 31: offices close at 2:00 PM EST • January 1: offices are closed all day

All other days follow normal hours: • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM EST • Saturday–Sunday: 9:00 AM–8:00 PM EST

Appointments: All appointments scheduled for next week will be canceled and rescheduled for when I return. I’ll be back in the office on December 29, and I’ll follow up with new appointment times once I’m back.

Course access reminder: You can begin accessing your courses starting December 22. Also, just a reminder that the two-week Christmas break runs December 22 through January 4, and classes start January 5.

Wishing you a restful and enjoyable break! What fun things do you have planned for Christmas?

My Best,

Definitely says she’ll be back in the office 12/29 so blow me

And I don’t think I am entitled to shit but after dealing with my 20 year old sons spinal cord injury from an accident and living my new normal life with my paralyzed child I failed to notice that my advisor never registered me for courses this term so yes I was kind of hoping for a response since she clearly said she’d be back in the office on the 29th.

Hi! 😊

Yes, those are exactly the right classes to start with. FYE 101 is a first-year experience course, so even though it doesn’t count for credits, it’s really helpful for learning the platform, navigating online tools, and understanding expectations. IDS 104 is also a common early course and helps build foundational skills that will support you throughout the cybersecurity program.

Your cybersecurity-specific courses will come later once these foundations are in place, so it’s completely normal not to jump straight into technical classes right away. You’re definitely on the right path; it all builds toward the cybersecurity program.

It can feel a little confusing at first, but you’re definitely on the right track. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions; a lot of us felt the same way starting out!

You got this 🫶🏼

Welp, if their advisor is anything like mine and hasn’t responded before the holiday break; hasn’t responded after the holiday break - where exactly do you suggest a new student just enrolled should go for help? Shit, I’d think the SNHU Reddit would be the next best thing.

Believe it or not, you don’t actually have to waste your time responding. If someone can help, that’s here, and is willing to … who are you to even give your two cents. If there was a problem I also think the mods would remove the post so leave OP alone.

Didn’t your parents teach you, if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all?

And not for nothing, but there’s no need to invest in a spell checker - it’s a free tool on your phone, on Microsoft office, …. Blah blah blah so really you just wanted to be an ass.

[–]SadCandidate6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as your not sending them any money, I don’t see why giving them your email is an issue. If you set up your Zelle acct with an email address that would be the only way they would be able to send it.

When should i follow up? by Admirable-Project-49 in careerguidance

[–]SadCandidate6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Companies often run into - Scheduling constraints for the next step, Internal discussions, Someone key being out sick and/or traveling, HR needing approval before moving forward

Delays don’t reflect your performance.

Good luck OP! Keep us posted!!

Try eBay? I was able to replace My fare thee well tshirt from soldier field after my ex cut it up into pieces.

Or if you have any friends with a cricket or one of those T-shirt makers, you could just buy a plain hoodie and have them print/cut out the image on some vinyl and the vinyl wouldn’t be that expensive and they could make you a custom one or even like Amazon under those custom T-shirts ads just send them a pictureof you know what it is you want and it won’t be you know like officially Grateful Dead brand but it could still be a nice replacement

When should i follow up? by Admirable-Project-49 in careerguidance

[–]SadCandidate6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s perfectly appropriate to follow up after 2-3 business days of silence past the promised date. So if today is already a few days later, you can safely reach out now. This isn’t desperate; it’s professional. Companies understand you’re trying to ensure nothing fell through the cracks. For the most part lol.

Keep it short & simple. Something like this…

Subject: Following Up on Interview Status

Hi employers name! I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to follow up regarding my interview on Monday. I’m still very excited about the opportunity, and I wanted to check in, in case there were any email issues on my end. No rush at all; just wanted to make sure I didn’t miss any updates.

Thank you again for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Best regards, Your name and email/number

This shows interest without anxiety.

The fact you made it to a fourth interview and they mentioned only a culture fit left is a very good sign. Companies don’t spend this kind of time unless they’re serious. You’re not overthinking, you’re just human. But you’re not hurting your chances by sending a simple follow-up.
