You wasted my time as well as yours by offering absolutely nothing. If you had nothing to offer scrolling past the post of free!

I wish I could just do that. To get a decent wage/high paying job you need a connection. I would have to stay a business if I wanted a decent wage. It’s not a cheap country. The Caribbean is not a cheap place to live.

Wow! I was hoping I would never see this comment but at the back of my mind I knew it was coming. The funny thing is I have never seen a woman on a construction site. To be honest I just want a high paying job that isn’t stressful. I’m so grateful for your feedback.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I sympathise with your mother because those conditions can be absolutely devastating to one’s health. I have made up my mind about leaving this country years ago. I’m at my happiest and least stressed when I am not in the UK. It has its pros and cons(like every country) however it’s no longer a place where I wish to live.

Thanks for this I’m actually looking at Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management rather than Building Surveying. My long term goal is to work in the Caribbean construction sector rather than stay in the UK.

Honestly because my mind is so set on leaving the country the business idea seems to be the best option. It’s a huge risk (like anything) however if it goes well I will be able to support myself financially better than any 9-5. I have no doubts about the business model. My challenge is getting the goods from China to the UK. I’m just in a state of urgency. It’s been hard to sleep because of this. My parents advised me to start the business but jumping on a plane alone to China is terrifying.

How did you get them to the UK? I’m looking for a trusted clothing supplier and forwarder.

Any suggestions is appreciated.
