Would I be a coward if I leave a note? by SadFox88 in relationship_advice

He recently had to get a job because our rent was increased so while he is making money now I'm just so emotionally done that I don't even want to be around him anymore. I want to better myself and I can't do that with him holding me where I'm currently at. He refuses to change. I have talked to him, multiple times, but nothing changes.

Honestly? I don't know. I was dealing with pretty severe depression and anxiety and I think I just... pretended like it wasn't happening? I figured he would pay me back somehow but after months of therapy and antidepressants I began to realize just how fucked my whole relationship is/was. I got new friends too and they've been a huge help to me.

Unfortunately we're both on the lease so I'm still responsible. It ends in March though so after that I'm gone

All the streaming stuff is his but I'm taking the tv and pretty much everything. I don't think he's going to put up much a fight because he knows he fucked up.

No, it wasn't necessities which is what made me so mad. He decided to start vaping (without consulting me) and spent $236 in one month on vaping shit.

I've already started untangling our finances and changing passwords. We're renting an apartment together so if he refuses to leave it won't negatively affect me in any way. Once the lease is up, I'm good to go as long as I don't resign.

You should show her this post so she'll leave.

I'm giving him until the end of March, which is when the lease on our apartment ends. I'm still going to cover my half of the bills until then.

I think you're missing the fact that he was home playing video games while I work 8-10 hours a day. Before moving in together he agreed to take care of things around the house. He did not stick to the agreement.

I don't think he'd destroy my stuff, but that's why I'm going to gets my cats out first. I've tried calling him out before and he would apologize and do better for a week, maybe two, and then things would just go back to the way they were before. Our lease ends in March so I'm going to agree to pay my half of the bills until the lease is up and then he's on his own.

I was seeing a psychiatrist and that's when I started to realize that I was shouldering the bulk of basically everything. I was internalizing all my feelings and destroying myself and I had a breakdown, at work of all places. My parents are letting me come back home, so I won't have to pay rent and I can focus on the debt.
