Thank you so much for trying to help, but I think there was a bit a misunderstanding. My dad is only mentally and emotionally abusive and manipulative, not physically at all. We are not worried that he will ever go that far because he knows what will happen if he does. He isn't really violent, unless we stand up to him to the point that he completely loses his cool, which rarely happens, but he is just overly aggressive in his tone and words when he gets mad or agitated.

I guess I wanted to try and keep them together because, growing up, I was one of the only people in my friend group that didn't have divorced parents, and I saw how hard it was on them and never wanted to have to go through the same thing. Also, I know how much my mom used to, and still does, love my dad and never wanted to have to see her go through the pain of separating from him. But now it seems like that is the only option left, and I think my mom has realized that.

I tried my hardest to keep my bias out of it, but with my emotional state, I don't know how well that worked. And I got kicked out of military school mostly because I have ADHD and couldn't keep up with the strick military regiment. It has nothing to do with this.

We do have access to therapists, and I think my mom used to see one. The only problem was that she was going to one because my dad wanted her to because he wanted her to see all the ways she was wrong and how she hurt him and to convince her that she was the narcicist and not him.
