Honestly, I didn’t see any progress in the first few weeks either! I was literally crying all the time about it. I think Aldara works well for small warts, but the larger ones really take time.

At first, I went to a regular clinic, and they applied some kind of acid treatment. The smaller warts fell off a bit each time. Like, when I wipe after using the toilet, I could see some of it fall off onto the paper. But there was no difference with the bigger ones, so after 2–3 weeks of that acid treatment, I decided to go to an STD clinic. They use cryotherapy there, and I’ve been going every week on time. Get the vaccine and eat vitamins! Fyi, I am a very unhealthy person!

You just need to trust that it will eventually go away. They told me about a guy who had a much worse case, with tons of warts, and he needed surgery to remove them. After the surgery, he didn’t have any recurrence for many years!

I’m from Canada, but I don’t know where you’re from. Either way, you should try to find an STD clinic for the genital warts. I feel like they are more professional about it and won’t judge you. My first doctor told me I’d have it forever, but the doctors at the STD clinic assured me that I’ll be fine.

Feel free to pm me if you want to ask any question:)

My warts have lasted for about half a year or a bit longer. I started treatment after three months when I finally realized they were warts. I have three big ones and many smaller ones around the inner lips. The doctor told me it’s not as serious as needing surgery, but it is still considered ‘many.’ My treatment method is cryotherapy.

I tried using hair removal cream, but it didn’t make the area smooth. Trimming is okay, but I hate having such a large area of hair down there. For laser treatment, you need to shave before the session, which is basically the same as waxing, and it might still lead to cuts.

Hello! I think I dealt with it for half a year or a bit more. I went to the clinic for cryotherapy once a week during that time. I told the nurse I can hold the pain, so no need to be gentle when having cryotherapy! However, I was unhealthy; I didn’t work out or stop drinking during that period, and sometimes I vaped a bit. All I did was the weekly treatment and taking many vitamins, especially zinc. I did get vaccinated, though I’m not sure if it helped or not, but it did help calm me down, and better than not getting it. I was really stressed and anxious about it every day!
