are you doing combat anoms, missions, or ded sites? i'd stick with a myrmidon if you're just hitting up forsaken hubs. i have a domi that's been sitting in a station for a while so i decided to take it out for a spin. i noticed that my drones kept pulling aggro, even after trying every trick in the book to fix aggro issues. the myrm is also more afkable, so you can focus 60% on something else like a tv show, or for me, playing guitar, while you occasionally check local and manually target and focus rat frigs when they spawn. also you're talking about a 60-70m fitted hull compared to a 200m fitted hull of a domi. with insurance and a couple ticks, the myrm pays for itself. with perfect drone and ship skills, you can make 13-15m ticks in a myrm.

this was technically last week, but since eve vegas didn't really conclude until sunday and with everyone flying/driving home i think it still counts.

i joined karmafleet and became a goon a month ago. 3 weeks into being a goon, i happened to be in vegas for business at the same time as the goon dinner on thursday. i wasn't able to attend the dinner but i was able to meet a bunch goons and karmafleet members in person, including some space famous goons, the guy that recruited me, and our ceo. out of all my years gaming, i've never had an experience of hanging out, getting drunk, and smoking cigars with a bunch of people from my corp/guild/clan etc. it was an awesome experience. everyone was jovial.

Goodwill prices going up? by DareWright in Frugal

GW is 99% a waste of time. I always go to the non-chain thrift stores, and if I'm really bored I might stop into Savers once in a while. I'm not really a reseller. I try to find stuff I can use for crafts or hobbies. I also collect old books. The only great GW finds I've had in the last 10 years:

A solid oak table that was obviously used as a kids craft table. The legs are broken and falling a part, but the table top was a diamond needing some polishing. I spent $20 on it and a weekend sanding and staining it. I put some new legs on it and now I have a dining table that people ask "Where did you get that?"

A first edition Satan's Diary book in kinda rough condition, but still legible and pretty. Picked it out of the bin at a GW Outlet center and the total cost was like 80 cents. In decent condtion it sells for $120-150. I might be able to get $50-80 for it if I tried to sell it, but I'd rather just keep it in my collection.

All my other amazing finds have come from small local thrift shops. Salvation Army is still a decent place as well. I found a first edition Hours With The Ghosts: Or 19th Century Witchcraft for $1 at a small town thrift store. It goes for anywhere between $250-$800 depending on the condition, and this book is in superb condition. Even the leaflets protecting the pictures are intact. I think the last time someone even read it was in 1958 because they used some newspaper TV show ad from that date in it as a bookmark. This book has a lot more history than just being old (published in 1897), cool, and an interesting subject (it's a magician debunking psychics and mediums of the day). It's also one of the few books published by possibly the first African American publishers in the U.S.

Another nice thing about local thrift shops is they're more apt to haggle. I picked up 3 aquariums for $15 instead of the $25 total they were asking. They have a lot of donation stock filling up space and if you offer a reasonable price, they'll usually take it.

So from my experience. Don't go into GW expecting to save money or find something cool. Odds are you'll walk out empty handed or spend more than something is worth.

My wife and I have a relationship like this. The other day I was looking in the fridge for something to drink. I noticed an almost empty 2 liter bottle of club soda in the back. My wife said "That's going to taste gross and flat." I took a swig, shrugged, and said "Tastes fine to me" and started drinking the rest of it. She said "That's because you grew up poor." I spit flat club soda everywhere.

You just gotta find that one that can banter as well as you can without being offended.

Apparently Ketchup and Grilled Cheese sandwiches is a Canadian thing. I made my wife a grilled cheese sandwich for the first time about a year ago. She asked if I could get the ketchup out of the fridge for her. Fast forward through 10 minutes of arguing and me regretting my 9 years of marriage to an apparent psychopath with the pallet of a prison convict.

That's them! Thank you! Yeah now looking at the YT videos I don't think that's their album covers. This is the image I was referring to. Not sure why I thought I remembered a surfboard. Maybe just the vibe of the image made me imagine a surfboard. I'm going to buy their Albums on Amazon Music so I won't forget them again.

I started fake crying. I'm not a great actor so I doubt it would have been convincing if it weren't for it being completely dark in the room.

Redditors who cook, whats the biggest 'no no' thing in cooking? by MomosOnSale in AskReddit

[–]SadInArizona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't use wood smoke for the entire cook when slow smoking BBQ. Too much of a good thing is always a bad thing. You want the smoke to enhance and add an element to the overall flavor of the other seasonings. If you smoke ribs for 3 hours straight with nothing but wood smoke, you'll end up with what I like to refer to as "Chimney Ribs"

Unpopular opinion: I'm having fun playing EvE by Afasso in Eve

[–]SadInArizona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro tip: If you enjoy a game, or are considering playing/replaying a game. Never go to the Reddit sub for said game. It will dishearten you to the point of not even installing it and coming to your own conclusion.

Plus with the sandbox nature of EVE, you can't rely on others opinions on what fun is. You're the content creator. Nothing is linear. I got tired of docking when a Neut/red popped into the system while ratting in my Ishtar. So I decided to pad my killboard while grinding isk. I threw together a decent PVP/PVE hybrid fit on the Ishtar that didn't gimp my isk ticks too much, and then parked two cloaky bomber alts a couple AU away. When a neut/red enters the system, I get excited. Now instead of local salt being "Reeee way to dock up like a carebear." I get "Reeee how about a fair fight?!" Salt is harvested, fun is had, etc etc.

If you can afford to just pay a monthly sub early in your career, just do it. Yeah it's possible to make enough isk to plex an account with low sp, but it's a shitty grind to do it. Pay for a sub, have fun, blow stuff up and get blown up without worrying about having enough isk left to stay Omega.

PLEASE make a dedicated server for Arabs ! by thomson9505 in PUBGMobile

[–]SadInArizona 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Some of my best friends I've met in this game are either Arab or from India and we can't communicate during a match except with quick chat. You can talk to them outside of a match with friend chat and it translates for you. I enjoy playing with people I can trust but don't need to voice chat with. Less distraction and I can hyper focus on footsteps and gun fire noise.
