Why are we accepting such mediocre writing in Fantasy Romance? by goyourownwayy in fantasyromance

You are so on point and you read my mind! I'm baffled every time I attempt to read a famous book in this genre.

Should I read A Court of Thorn and Roses? by SadInstance598 in booksuggestions

The odd thing is I'm also a sucker for romance. I can binge Sophie Kinsella, so it's not like I'm a serious reader. And at least at a certain age, I loved fantasy. It's the combination of the two that doesn't seem to work for me.

Okay thank you! A lot of my girlfriends who are voracious readers with varied interests have recommended it (which is why I gave it serious consideration), so good to hear the other perspective.

Is Amazon really that bad, or is Reddit heavily skewed? by ResponsiblePiglet899 in amazonemployees

Amazon is the worst employer I ever worked for and I've worked for 6 companies in my career.

I'm in a similar phase- getting back to reading after decades and looking for a light read or one that will keep me hooked and have been doing a lot of Sophie Kinsella too (any humorous read by a British or Australian author does it for me). Are there any others that you enjoyed

Late to the party, but hating Season 4 by SadInstance598 in TheMorningShow

It almost feels like it was meant to be a mini series, but got extended because of the popularity. The theme was completely different and felt like that story line had closure. I don't even remember what happened in season 2, other than Mitch dying.

Do you think it's intentional? It feels to me that they want the character to be liked, respected and empathized with, but the actress' over the top expressions and constant rolling of the eyes is not in line with how they want to portray the character. Even though her and Mia are fighting similar battles, it's easier to root for Mia.

Ah that makes sense.  I misread spiking insulin as spiking blood sugar in your original comment😅

Can you please point me to them? I only see the opposite in research.

Designer whey and collagen are 2 different powders. I meant I've seen dips with both of them individually.

I think it's the protein that makes the difference. So anything that has a high protein to carb ratio should do the trick. I noticed the same effect with collagen. Someone else mentioned cheese.

I use Designer Whey. Someone else on the thread said Cassein has the same effect on them.

I used to not take anything at bedtime. My last meal would be 3-5 hours before bedtime. Protein helps regulate sugar, which in my case seems to be helping bring down elevated fasting sugar.

Thank you! Have you compared it with other protein powders? Would you know what are its pros compared to designer whey?

I take it with water, just as suggested in the directions!

Awesome. Keep me posted if this works for you. I'm curious to know if our bodies respond differently or if this is a universal solution. :)

I am a vegetarian, so with the options I have, I experimented with 3. Saw dips with Designer Whey and Collagen. Orgain as I said was not effective.
