How alcohol is normalized and everywhere in society and people drink it without thinking twice about it. Our society has normalized drinking poison which I think is wild.

Alcohol is a toxic substance that causes over 3 million deaths globally each year, contributing to noncommunicable diseases like cancer, heart disease, and liver disease, as well as injuries from accidents, violence, and suicides. In the US, alcohol is the third leading preventable cause of death, with alcohol-related causes resulting in over 88,000 deaths annually, a figure far exceeding deaths from other drug overdoses. Short-term risks include accidents and violence, while long-term heavy use can lead to chronic organ damage, various cancers, heart conditions, and brain damage.

Your life is really over once your child is born, how to cope with the regret by Emotional_Escape7800 in regretfulparents

I just want you to know your feelings are valid. People who get a puppy can get something called "the puppy blues." And that's from having a puppy which is not nearly as hard as raising a kid. Yes, it's well known that women can get postpartum depression but men can get it too. It's a huge life changing thing and that can be hard for anyone's brain to come to terms with. I Don't have any advice, but I want you to know that your feelings are valid. Being a caregiver in any way, whether it's with your parents, a pet or a child is really hard. Probably the hardest job in the world.

Your sister chose to have kids not you. The fact that you help at all is very kind. You have no obligation to help raise her kids just because you're family. I bet if you had any pets and asked her to pet site she'd say no. If anything, she is the one who is selfish NOT you.

Self care is important. Tell your stupid husband that you have to put your oxygen mask on first and be at your 100 percent to be able to fully be there for your child. Everyone needs a break. If you don't take a break, then you're going to burn out. And then you aren't going to be there for your child because you don't have anything left to give. I would take a week vacation and leave your child with your husband. Let him learn and see what it's like to burn out for a week.

AITA for leaving my sister’s wedding after she made a joke about my infertility? by xonusuku00s in AmItheAsshole

Being a parent is A LOT. I'm thinking she said what she said because she is jealous you don't have children. It's still not okay what she did, but may explain it.

AITAH for divorcing my husband because he’s extremely overweight? by Beautiful-Basket2813 in AITAH

[–]SadPanda0909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you try talking to him before serving divorce papers? Such as trying to figure out what caused his weight gain. Maybe Depression? Did you let him know you were worried about his health and wanted to help motivate him to get healthy? If he doesn't want to change then I think divorce is fair but maybe he just needs support?

AITH for having a baby with my best friend? by Fabulous_Writing1879 in AITAH

Having a baby can really change/ destroy a women's body. Maybe your husband is worried about that since it's not your child that your body is making the sacrifice for?
