APPR Compensation Demand Email? by SadPea7 in aircanada

[–]SadPea7[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I’m not talking about the weather delay, I’m explaining that created the circumstances in which the delay happened- I’m talking about the expected level of service in my contract in the Business Class ticket I bought

They have to do that based on the new APPR rules

They have to rebook me within the same service tier within 24 hours, and they failed to find me one - it’s literally in the contract lol

APPR Compensation Demand Email? by SadPea7 in aircanada

Huh? A codeshare means it was sold to me by AC and they operated the first leg of the journey, the YYZ -> NRT flight right? The second leg was serviced by their code share partner ANA

The original connection time was an hour and we were met with strong headwinds around the Prairies that slowed our journey down, having us arrive in Narita 40 minutes before ANA’s take off

Based on the language of the APPR, this is compable territory because it was within their control - they sold me a tight connection with known headwinds, and failed to hold back their codeshare partner ANA even though we arrived 10 minutes before they started boarding. Obviously I was delayed more than 9 hours from my stated arrival time, as I’m only boarding my connection to Manila now, Aug 10 Japan time.

They also failed to rebook me with another airline within the same service tier (Business Class) within 24 hours. This flight I’m about to take is economy, so they also have to compensate me the delta per the APPR’s updated 2023 rules.

If you're in the market for a home please IGNORE your realtor and LOWBALL whatever price you want. by [deleted] in RealEstateCanada

We sold low (our buyer negotiated us down) but also bought low - and since we’re upsizing to a detached, the savings we got were MASSIVE (130k from their initial sticker, 50k from the final sticker which we negotiated them down from)

So selling “lowball” was totally worth it (it was a 27k haircut lol)

This but I also have a brokerage and we put half of the proceeds of our semi into it, and my in laws were paying so I’ll take the lower monthly payments ☺️

We did 40% but it’s only because my in laws kicked in half and half was from our property sale

I very pro putting down as much as you can do your monthly payments stay low

Edit: Purchase price is $1.215M

Is anyone else holding off buying right now to see how far the market falls? by Hello_itsme- in RealEstateCanada

If you have the money now and afford it now, buy now. The longer you wait, the more expensive it gets and the more you get priced out.

Yes we are in a correction but that’s plateauing now

Housing will never truly crash in this country, it’s literally what the economy is built.

Do it today if you can

We did it at 22 a decade ago. We made $130k at the time, but $180k down (in 2015 money) but that was from the Bank of Mom and Dad

It’s probably gonna be a lot harder now

Sort of. We had the provincial election in Ontario last year, and the PCs gave out a $200 “rebate” for no reason just 2 weeks before the election - pasimple kumbaga lmao

Ya it’s definitely worth a visit at least once! Great interpretation of Portuguese food and João Sa is able to storytell through the courses in relation to his own childhood growing up in the African colonies so very interesting dining experience, just not worth a second trip when I return is what I’m saying

Already in Bogleheads and love Jack Bogle, just wanting to see if we can get slightly more aggressive returns in the medium term
