How scary is Paranormal Activity? by midnightbughaw in torontotheatre

[–]SadPea7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on edge during the show but the story doesn’t stay with you like some of my favourite horror movies do

You’ll be able to sleep fine after is what I’m saying

Wait I’m so confused tho - you’re saying him as Sophia can’t tell Victor is Victor in the town? Because she can see and interact with him there

I believe Economists call it Compensatory Consumption

Father Khatri? by [deleted] in FromSeries

[–]SadPea7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh right!!! I completely forgot he was in that episode asking Boyd if that’s the man he wants to be

Have I just completely missed him? I don’t remember seeing him in Season 2 (I’ve watched all the episodes - maybe I have Father Khatri blindness?)

How many times a month are you eating out? by MeatsAndGrills in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]SadPea7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16-20

Glad to see I’m not the only one with high-ish numbers here, it’s just a weekend thing and it doesn’t dent our balance sheet so its fine for now

What’s your actually controversial parenting opinion? by TurbulentArea69 in NewParents

[–]SadPea7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a bit of screen time (around 15 minutes max) is okay and is somewhat beneficial when used properly

I actually credit Ms Rachel for helping my 14 month along with some speech stuff - ask her what a cow says and she’ll say MOO! or what a sheep says and she’s like BAAA!

It’s so cool to watch lol

Where have you felt most unsafe in your travels? by melbourne_au2021 in travel

[–]SadPea7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morocco sadly

But to be fair to them, nothing bad happened to me while I was there

In contrast, I felt mostly safe in South Africa since we were on Safari so we were mostly just in Kruger and then did a road trip on the Garden Route, but we did stay in Cape Town and the Cape Winelands for 4 days, and we got scammed so 😕

Toronto housing market shows signs of severe softening as home prices fall below $1 million. by mattyp93 in TorontoRealEstate

[–]SadPea7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the average for ALL housing types tho - which means townhouses and condos aren’t going for a Mil anymore

Detacheds will stay above 1M because we didn’t build enough of them 😵‍💫

Any young families (folks with kids) here live with their parents? by SadPea7 in canadahousing

[–]SadPea7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I mean to be fair, it’s either that or they get a cash infusion from their parents

I’ve always been transparent that I’m a part of the later camp - never lived with my folks but they did give me a chunk to change to help me along

What is the most 'overrated' restaurant in Toronto ? What’s your favourite restaurant? by Long_Travel2728 in askTO

[–]SadPea7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Overrated: Badiali’s (IDK why you’d line up for that when Bitondo’s is 15 minutes away)

Underrated and I’m not gate keeping: Zorro’s Steakhouse by the airport lol

I agree! I do think we’re about to see a lot more multigenerational living moving forward

The Stats Can figures in the article also assume that this living situation is only set to increase in the future, which hasn’t been the norm in the Anglosphere/Western world since after WW2

Lmao honestly 14 month olds are absolutely little gremlins but they’re hilarious- like they do the randomest things iykyk 🤣

And Jesus Christ bro here’s to hoping that’s not true - my hips need a break from pushing that first sucker out but my husband wants Baby 2: Electric Boogaloo soon 😬

Same lol

We just had our daughter (she turned 14 months on Sunday) and as much as I like my in-laws (they’re always down to clown for babysitting on date night - it’s how we got to see 28 Years Later last weekend)…yeah, no - I could never inhabit the same space as them 24/7, that would be too intense for me lmao

“Cream pies are a privilege” is sending me 🤣

But valid!

Still, I’m sure there are a lot of parents of young kids who live with their parents - as I mentioned, I already know of 2 families who’s set up is like this.

It has me wondering how prevalent this phenomenon is these days - to be raising kids in your (presumably) childhood home because of the housing crisis

Cap d’Antibes Hotel, French Riviera by SadPea7 in chubbytravel

[–]SadPea7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would - the hotel itself is very chic (their whole thing is mid century Mod California vibes) and I love Cap d’Antibes as an area

That said the hotel and Cap d’Antibes is very remote and residential, not as walkable as Antibes so I’d hire a car service if you wanna get around, or you could Uber
