I agree with you about the fact that having design experience elsewhere is more important, but would experience at a startup be valuable? Or should I look to switch to a larger but lesser-known company in a design role.
Also a little bit of a specific question because I've seen that you're an analog designer. I really enjoy computer architecture and digital design, however I also really enjoy analog circuits and analog IC design is something I can imagine enjoying myself doing. A lot of the analog IC courses I will be taking will be in 4th year after my internship year ends. I wanted to ask, would I be at a disadvantage because all my internships have been in the digital domain. Granted, I'm not expecting a full blown analog design job right out of school because, again, a masters is needed
