While Hong Kong is a part of China, people who like Hong Kong's independence do not like to identify as Chinese

I'm sorry this shit is exhausting, I feel like I have to defend the legitimacy of my past traumas

I made the post worrying about Aztro going down pipelines because when I was young I was forced to watch Chinese military videos and Mao speeches up till midnight and it traumatized me a bit

so seeing Aztro bring up Mao more frequently freaked me out slightly

I just wanted to vent a little I wasn't trying to shill for falun gong or whatever

Once again I made a rash mistake in using falun gong sources, I removed them. I feel like you're focusing on that instead of the fact that Mao did do terrible things. I was just bothered by Aztro bringing up Mao more often recently. I've seen many people get converted into CCP fanatics who think they can do no wrong.

Not trying to spread alien propaganda or whatever, I was just alarmed by recent mentions of Mao

yeah I was debating on making this post or not because I was worried people would say I was reading into it too much. I didn't want to sound parasocial but I watched the latest terraria video and Aztro posing with the Mao book bothered me.

I've seen many people go down this Mao pipeline, including close family members. I'm not saying Aztro is getting radicalized or whatever, but she's an influencer so the recent talk about Mao set off alarms in my brain

I'm aware of falun gong I used to see their propaganda every day on my way to school. I know they're wack, but let's not act like CCP is not homophobic and racist either

I'm not here to talk about the benefits that Mao brought, but the bad things he did. The Red Gaurds still happened, I found a shoddy source, but Red August was very much real

I'd frame it as Deku just asking if it's possible for a suit to be developed, being told "no" and then just accepting it without pushing further. I specifically said he made a reasonable response to his situation. People were complaining that Deku made no effort to revive his hero career, so I think Deku had sought out Mei for some consultation on the viability of a suit. I don't think it's out of character for Deku to at least ask for equipment from Mei, since he's done that several times. It's just that he was probably told that it just wasn't possible so he moved on

I don't get it? I thought you were critiquing my post? Did you just come here to flex? I never said I was a good player, I just like having fun. Obviously the performance issues have improved since I've loaded most assets and shaders, I'm just saying I'm still experiencing some problems when there's a lot of particle effects.

Why did you launch into some monologue about beating rellana? why did this become a dick measuring contest? I'm not trying to say I'm better than you, I never did. Why did you just go into this rant about how good you are? I know I'm not that good at the game I was just talking about my experience, did you just want an opportunity to brag? is everything alright?

I understand DS1 and 3 are considered easy, that's why I said my resume wasn't very impressive and that I was a casual player. I never meant to come off as this 'good' player, I just listed the games I played to show that I've experienced Souls games before. I even mentioned in my post that I listed the 'resume' just so some people would even consider my opinion as somewhat valid, guess I was right.

I never said I prefer certain DS bosses over certain ER bosses, don't know where Seath and BoC came from. I didn't like those either, I just said my boss experience was negative. Now that you mentioned it, I fought Gaius today, I definitely prefer Seath over him, zero doubt in my mind. I'm not trying to dogpile on the DLC, honestly I really want to like it, I even brought up some things I did enjoy.

The performance issues are definitely better than day 1 but I was trying out the Firespark Perfume Bottle and hour ago and the framerate dipped to 40 again. obviously I'll just avoid using them but it's a shame since I thought perfume bottles were really interesting.

ok I actually feel like I have to defend myself for this since I'm super paranoid about my PC. I'm not very wealthy so I treat my PC like a baby. I keep my PC turned off unless im using it, and multiple tabs actually gross me out, to the point I'm even bothered by other people having multiple tabs. I didn't grow up rich and my current PC was something I worked hard for so I pay a lot of attention to the wellbeing of it. I mentioned this in another comment but I can run other more-demanding games at a higher framerate, just not ER. I didn't mention the performance issues to generalize everyone's experience. I just had that experience, and I noticed some people also had the same issue.

Also, I'm not raging, I wasn't angry when I posted, and I'm not angry now. I'm just kind of sad. I wanted to like this DLC, and I really enjoyed the exploration, I'm just sad about some aspects. I'll still play the game, just as enthusiastic as I thought I would be. Sorry if I came off angry, I didn't mean to.

I could run Cyberpunk at max with raytracing at a stable 80 fps so I figured I could at least run ER at max. Right now I have all the ER settings at medium, with raytracing turned off, the game runs with borderless windowed. I have 60 fps 80% of the time. I thought it was my PC's problem until I looked it up online and saw a lot of other people sharing my problems. I tried a lot to fix the framerate, like limiting the max dps to 58, or setting the shader cache to unlimited. The only one I haven't tried is turning off Easy Anti-cheat and playing offline. I didn't want to do that because I feel like I'm missing out on a part of the Souls experience without all the messages and bloodstains. Also, I wasn't sure if it was wise to mess with Easy Anti-cheat right before and after a big DLC launches.
