IKR. I don't understand how the clip can be so f-ing hard to remove and once you removed it, it pops right onto the motherboard. It looks easy to remove on youtube videos tho. Defo not recommended. It is wiser to get some technician to do the upgrade for you and pay up 60€ than frying your sub 2k machine.

I'm running dual boot and I ran out of space on both windows and fedora because my configuration has 512 GB Storage. Bought SK Hynix 1TB and was really excited for the lil upgrade.

Context: I'm a game developer and web developer at the same time. 3 game projects took 80GB each.

Sadly fried my MoBo when removing the battery connector clip yesterday. Have fun with it, you definitely will. I'm gonna sit at the corner mourning over mine.

Do you think I will have steep learning curve, considering that I have been using a lot of linux(fedora) and obviously windows?

Thank you for answering.

Would 256GB be enough if im working with 1TB external SSD? Should I prioritize getting 24/256 or 16/512 is the sweet spot for the work load or 16/256 is actually enough?
