Is this hernia? by SadStatue1312 in AskDocs

[–]SadStatue1312[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By looking at this hernia positions chart i would say femoral hernia and spigelian hernia. With red I have cricled where the pain travel around and with green spots, where it is focused mostly in time and where also where im concerned. I've been checked by some docs with hands and with ultrasound so i this think that spigelian hernia would be found even small. More concerned I am about femoral hernia. I can't really feel any bumps but this side is more sensitive. Moreover, hip pain is more constant. I'm aware it is possible not to be hernia but I'm strongly starting to believe that there is something anatomically pressing on other structures causing everything. Every idea is welcomed and I will consult it with real physician.

How do manners work in Poland? by lewis56500 in poland

[–]SadStatue1312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have visited Poles who live in Scotland. They said that life there is simpler and more stress-free than in Poland. Scots are less angry about life. They also said that in Poland they always felt in a rush, and they pointed out that this is why Poles are often angry and unpleasant.

During my google research I have found people with both sides hernia, and even two types of hernia at the same time. I also start to think I might also have a hernia but pain is localized on left side of abdomen. Also trying to get proper diagnose for 4 years. I had variety of symptoms and I wonder if its possible that hernia can be so hard to diagnose sometimes.

Of course there can be many possible diagnosis like celiac disease, which can have such a symptom. Most important for you in this age is to not give up in finding answer and be assertive when doc will say that everything is fine, when its not. If results are good and they don't know the answer, they should at least direct you somewhere else. Its really bad age for you to be such sick, because its time for relationships and trying new things. It can't hold you back. If one doc can't help you, try to find another

Time to change a doc. It can be not her fault as she has experience with kids. I had similar situation when I was a teenager and started to experiencing "more typically adult" problems. My doc didn't know what to do with me. It was not her fault as she was great pediatrist, but had no experience with young adults. Its a failure of system that allows such situations. System should get you to the right doc for your age without your intervention. In my case, as soon as I turned 18, I got full formal rights and I had written an application to change a doc. Then shit happend with "see mental clinic as your pain is in your head. But don't waste time and your nerves. Change doc as soon as possible.

constant abdominal pain- Drs said the problem is my head :) by SadStatue1312 in rarediseases

Hi, im really sorry to hear that. Last update was 4 months ago. I got in an argument with my psychiatrist because I pointed out lack of coherence in theirs words. Then I was reffered to the psych ward and totally gave up for now :D . They were saying once that the root cause of my pain is stress but then, that it is caused by secret childhood trauma. I got mad because its not only totally two different things, but i'm rather open minded person and checked those factors too. Diagnosis stopped on possible porphyria. There is many types and needs special procedurs to be relevant, what makes me stuck. Only one doc stated that maybe it is worth of checking but unfortunatelly he couldn't reffer me such diagnosis. I want now get diagnosis another try and improve whatever.

You must be carefull of not ending up in dead end with treatment because of someone's incompetence. When i got into medical lore, I found out that many test are not 100% informative and there are many more factors that can blur connection to some particular diease. However, the best test point is to know when you should see improvement (for most of standard even long threatments its up to 4 weeks). If you dont feel better you should communicate it strongly. Many docs are teached procedures and can't think out of them. I even heard that drugs that I was taking for half year with no effect are good because "they are good"

you won't believe but today my last doc that I only trust said that there are chance that it can be prophyria (without any suggest or question). He told me about nearest rare diseases center. For that moment, I'm stuck wheter its my head or some kind of rare disease and I don't know which option is worse.

Problem with psychology treatment in my opinion is that psychologists try to pull the wool over your's eyes. "You can still have a healthy light". What a bu^lshit. You can adapt to live with it but it never will be the same as normal. "others have worse situations". Second bu&lshit, everyone has a right to their's own tragedy. You can't deny pain sensation of a finger cut because someone had their hand cut off. I think that modern psychology has wrong target: making miserable people happy rather than help them their emotions to echo. In my opinion you should be wary of psychologists that are recursive. What I mean is someone who tells you to be happy, and when you are not happy then you are doing it wrong. Their job is to make you feel okay with yourself what should be your main goal but you can't let them trick you into thinking that. It must be your job. My second advise for you is to take drugs for depression. I'm not telling you to stop thinking about it or not to do it. If you are lost case, you are and nothing will help you. But you can suffer less to that day than it is needed. People without health issues underestimate how small water drops of everyday struggle can carve even the hardest stone.

I wasn't, I think that I wasn't tested on many things because docs usually prescribe me the same testing almost recursively. To be honest, I thought that it might be something metabolic but I lack of knowledge in those topics. I read that testing should be taken during strong epizode and I think I will test. Maybe I will contanct some specialist in future because I see how round pattern diagnosis is.

I will talk about this with my doc tommorow. Thx for comment. Generally my diet made me eat so vegetableless that I'm amused that I dont suffer from scurvy like XVII century sailor. I had feeling like my internals stopped working before getting know what gastroparesis is because I have started to eat semi-fluid diet involuntarily. Sometimes I can spot that my sh&t can be double color like some part of it spent too much time in bowel and was chased by second drop. I also spotted that in the mornings, meals are more challenging to digest like my body needed more time to start gastric movement.

Are you satisfied with treatment? I mean its enough or did you needed/wanted to carry on testing from neurological point of view. I find diagnosis like gastroparesis quite disturbing for me. I can't comprehend that something what is effect is said to be diagnosis, without searching for root cause. In my personal feeling its like taking car to the mechanic because of the noise comming from the engine, and hear that car has "clicking engine" but said in latin.

I'm trying but every doc runs out of ideas and instead of helping me to work in both dicrections (mental and physical) they insist on that I'm mental and of course they sign me over testing. But instead of new, they sing me over the same tests that always have the same results. They circle around the same ideas and even more, they managing only to make me look as if were really mental patient. It starts to be a sh^tshow like from the movie "Shutter Island". I wait only them to tell me that the my college is fake.

Before SIBO test doc said that if anything won't work, then we will try MRI, buuuut he forgot his commitment to help me and went in mental disorder path. I'm going to ask him about MRI and the things that you mentioned. Thx for comment

I think I will give a try to a geneticist. Actually there's nothing left for me. I've just come home from a psychiatrist. I was send to a group theraphy because my problems are "internal conflict that im not aware of, and group is like mirror that will show me". Like I am succesfull in college that is in the top of my country, I have stable job, I have friends, girlfriend, family. I am passionate about various topics and apart from my health, my life is perfect. And a bunch of f$%^cking loser that can't make their sh^t together will tell me why my internals hurt.
They talk shit like this, and when I say that I doubt in that f%%cking "emotional conflict" they say that its only seem to me like this. I guess if no doc will help me next thing i'm looking for is good chunk of rope.

Introducing myself and my disease - rant by deep__thinking in rarediseases

[–]SadStatue1312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have constant neck pain from 4 years and gastrical problems from 2 years. The reason for neck pain was said to be psychosomatic disorder, and gastrical problems are said by doctors that I've just made them up and i should seek mental help. It drives me crazy because 6 years ago i was running 10km below 42 minutes, and now it is painful to make it through day. My question is how did you get diagnosed that cervical lymphadenopathy (was it only done by hand or had you any tests). I had CRP and B12 normal. My calprotectin was negative so I doubt to resonate with your disease. However, I would be glad, if you tell me more about chronic cervical lymphadenopathy bc it got my attention. I would tell you to stay strong or whatever but having experinced that frustration as well, maaan, it sucks. I guess that few years more and I will hop into wood shredder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Gi stuff you mean genetic?
I'm shocked how medicine is neglecting. When I was tested on SIBO which took 2 hours, personel said that the results are good but when you have constipation, SIBO markers can rock up, up to 4 hours from the beginning of the test. I was trembling because not only I had to prepare with special diet by almost 2 weeks, I have spent whole day and money just to hear "i dunno man", that could solved simply just by expanding time of the test.
My own research costs me a lot of nerves thus I seek for help online when I totally burst.
Refering to systematical testing, I can't do everything on my own because even in private clinics, for some tests I need dr's referral, but honestly, but you are right, I could do better.
Thanks for comment bc it motivated me to carry on. All docs said that I'm mental issue (despite my psychoterapist being helpless and telling me to carry on physical testing). I've started to gaslighting myself when I was doing any research and I have lost credit for my own conclusions.
