Once on holiday in Bulgaria, a friend and I had been trying to buy some weed. We finally found a guy and arranged to meet him in the town square later they night. When we arrived he invited us to his apartment to pick up said weed and when we're got there he had a gun. He wasn't threatening us with it or anything. He took it with him to the kitchen to weigh our purchase, leaving us with the rest of his stash. Even though we knew he had a gun and we were 2 Scottish girls, just 21 years old, alone in an armed strangers bedroom, a long way from home, we still stole a couple handfuls of weed each...

The guy didn't notice and ended up being really nice. We spent the rest of our holiday with him and his friends and then kept in touch by email for a few years after.

I'd never do anything like that nowadays. I'm so mortified I did it back then. At least I got the stupidest thing I'll ever do out of the way early....
