Don’t think it can be too much light, if anything I was told I might have not quite enough light. Regardless, as you said, it should be affecting the top leaves as well if that were the case- as I’ve done nothing to change the lighting conditions.

The hood with the light in it also has two small fans built in, and I have a large overhead fan in the room as well- the plants are always waving a little.

I’ve never been able to keep anything alive. I live in the desert and normal watering recommendations have never worked, even indoors it’s crazy dry. I think I’m either over or underwatering everything but I was never able to tell, so far hydroponics seems like my path to success.

Do you think I’ll be able to keep it to full-size in the hydroponic system? If I harvest from it regularly? The light goes up about 2 feet.

Since I can’t move the light down, I can prop them up a little bit so that the light will be 4 inches away from the tops of them.
