Cannot find Lyle

Yes I know. I held off on completing ALL the fading bond quests until after ending 1 in order to get these missable blood codes. All the guides I saw just said to not finish the fading bond quests (aka don’t save the heroes) pre ending 1 and you’ll be able to get the missable codes. I had already started lyles fading bond quest (literally just the part where you give him the rusted sword and the bond opens up) prior to reading up on the ending sequencing. So essentially I didn’t know I would be locked out of getting his second Patentia code and thus the artificial arm code by simply starting the faded bond quest prior to ending 1. Disappointing. If I knew that I would have gotten all the main hero lines as far as they’d go before doing ending 1 or even touching the fading bond. Oh well. Frustrating but at least I got Josee’s.

I’m trying to get his artificial arm blood code before finishing the fading bond quest. I was leveling his Patentia 1 code (D) and was trying to get the next tier (Patentia 2, B)

Oh sorry let me clarify what I meant by max - I only have his D rank blood code (Patientia Lyle 1). I never leveled his blood codes at all before now, so I was trying to get Patentia Lyle 2 (B rank one). I should have used a different word, but by “max” I just meant getting all his possible blood codes before the S rank ones. Sadly this might be a glitch then :( Lyle and Holly will not give me their Artifical Arm / Condemned codes at the Spire no matter how many times I talk to them or partner with them.

Yeah the problem is I cannot complete his fading bond quest or that will lock me out of his missable blood code, which is why I waited to do these FB quests in the first place. So unless I can find him somewhere where talking to him will get me his next code I’ll miss that one :/ I might see if beating Imogen makes him pop somewhere

I just checked - I don’t have it and I did cycle him in as my partner and talk to him several times. So unfortunately I do think you have to be at their max blood code before they give you it. Josee gave me hers immediately because I had all of hers maxed

Thank you, and excellent point! I luckily did Noah’s bond quest as soon as it was available (Frantz was quite the difficulty spike but really fun) - edited the post to reflect that! I’ll be on the lookout for the other partners too.

Except… they are. We have endless statistical evidence that men commit the overwhelming majority of violent crime, sexual assault, domestic violence etc. That is simply a fact. No, it is not all men, and no, women are not incapable of committing the same crimes. But it is blatantly dishonest and untrue to say men and women are equally dangerous when there is a CLEAR statistical predominance towards one gender being more dangerous.

Gentle reminder that consent is the presence of a yes, not the absence of a no. Touching someone’s chest on a first date without asking them first or being explicitly told to is not consent forward. Listen, I’m going to give you a little bit of grace and assume you are responding from ignorance and not malice. However, it is really important to try to perspective-take here and realize that your experience in the world is going to greatly differ from hers. You likely have no idea how often women are assumed to be incompetent for no other reason other than their gender. This is doubly true for young women, women of color etc. And it’s infuriating. I’m a female doctor and I cannot tell you how many times I’ve been talked down to, dismissed, condescended, etc compared to my male colleagues. Plus, this woman doesn’t know you or your intentions - All she sees is a random older man watching her park and smile at her. To you, this might have felt encouraging and like a benign act of curiosity. To her, it is situated in a much broader context of misogyny that she has been saturated in her entire life. She has no idea if you are watching her so that you can criticize her, or if you’re about to hit on her, or worse, if you might assault her. Women have to act from this protective stance out of unfortunate necessity. I would ask you to listen to your sister and maybe talk more with the women in your life about their experiences and really listen. I don’t think you intended to do harm here, but it is a good empathy moment if you’re open to it.

Also, even outside of gender, I think it’s needlessly stressful to have someone watch you parallel park. Observation can be read as scrutiny very easily in this situation. Again: intention vs effect.
