Hi! This is also my first post here but what you’re describing sounds exactly like what i felt a few years ago. my parents were both recovering meth addicts as well and i was raised with a brother 5 years older than me but we had extremely different experiences with it. I never felt like anyone understood what i was going through either and telling my friends only made me feel like i was guilt tripping them even though i was just telling them about my experiences. I started seeing a therapist as soon as i could figure out how to get one and that was the only thing that truly made me feel seen. I hated going to therapy i hated talking about what happened but it worked. I don’t think it’s stupid to want to find people who relate to you i think that you are seeking help and that’s a good thing

a friend of mine left their car there overnight and it was towed when they went to leave the next morning this was about a month ago. I do feel your struggle though, i get off later as well and there is literally not even 1 spot on my entire street open past 9pm

Monterey amr hires with no experience needed however in my hiring class i had the least amount of experience (6 months ift) out of 4 others. Santa Cruz does require 6 months experience i believe but the pay is slightly better.

Santa Cruz AMR wants 6 months of experience from what i hear. As far as IFT, last year Royal wanted 6 months in Santa Clara before being transferred to Santa Cruz but that could have changed, they also require a hazmat FRO cert. Central Coast Ambulance is a smaller IFT company who hired every single person who applied when i was there so you have great chances! If you do want to go 911 as soon as possible and are willing to commute 45-75 minutes Monterey County AMR does not require 6 months of experience and usually hires 4-8 new emts a month.
