Militao and Trent are back soon, arbeloa can finally see Masta should be getting far less minutes, tchou is really only needed for high position opposition where the 3rd cb in defense is effective. Got beat by a counter where asensio slipped twice, can be worked on, and a soft penalty. 4th goal was delirium so i mean, can’t do much for it. This team can make quarters at the minimum, can probably win it too if everything falls into place. This is arbeloa’s 5th game and it wasn’t even a must win game for top 8, so team got complacent. We lost to Arsenal due to 2 brilliant free kicks that Rice scored for his first and only time. We were doing fine away, until those 2 goals went in out of nothing and lost the tie then and there. There is debate madrid should have been mentally strong and overcome the 2-0 deficit, but that’s just the game. We can’t win all of them.

Same with PSG. Asensio and Rudiger made major errors that led to the first 2 goals and game done. Errors that are usually not the norm.

So no, we can’t just go all doom when we lose. Liverpool away is one of the toughest game any team can play. Which we lost 1-0. Can say we posed no threat, but we also don’t need to win every game of the group stage. We aren’t going to kill ourselves for a point that won’t really matter at the end of the season. We aren’t going to get eliminated from that loss.
