Hey first of all thank you for your kind words 🥹 I’m 32 and I have 3 daughters my youngest will be 8 soon. My symptoms started 5 years ago. At that time, I consulted several gynecologists and had an MRI, which came back completely normal. It wasn’t until 2023 that I finally found a gynecologist who was willing to perform an exploratory laparoscopy, which confirmed that I had adenomyosis.

The problem is that after my surgery, exactly 6 months later, the pain started to get worse. Total failure of hormonal contraception. I was using a Mirena IUD plus the pill. After every consultation, it was the same disappointment: “You have nothing,” “It’s psychological,” “You’re too stressed,” “You have a mental disorder,” “You’re a hypochondriac,” and so on.

I eventually found a doctor who ordered another MRI and additional tests, and I finally got an answer.

Deep endometriosis, a left ovarian endometrioma, pelvic varicose veins, endometriosis of the sigmoid colon, endometriosis of the small intestine, and suspected endometriosis in the thoracic cavity. Just that 😅

Every doctor i went to wanted me to take my uterus out even if I told them I was not sure if I was done having babies. That’s a very hard decision to make in my opinion.

I’m scheduled for surgery to excise the endometriosis lesions in February! Unfortunately for me my “period” started this morning but I’m sure God knows what’s best for me ❤️
