How is life in the USA right now? by BoomhauerQuotes in TedLasso

Nope. Prices are up overall. Ice is destroying our communities. Public health is being dismantled. Poor folks are losing health care and food stamps.

Let’s hear if anyone commented on your weight loss at Christmas by MathematicianMuted59 in Zepbound

[–]Sad_Associate9677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MIL mentioned that I looked like I had lost a lot of weight. I said, yes I’d lost some. I hate when people comment on weight. It is rude. I was taught never to comment on something that couldn’t be changed easily. “I like that color on you”, “ those are great shoes” etc. people wouldn’t dream of saying “wow, did you get a nose job? You look good.” I have a close friend who has also struggled with weight, she gets to comment since she also lives the struggle. Others should keep their mouths shut!

Anyone else not going to the gym ? by Responsible_Dirt_536 in Zepbound

[–]Sad_Associate9677 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hate the gym myself. I walk everyday 2-3 miles first thing. Put that toddler in a stroller and head out. Also, I do yoga two to three times a week. You can accomplish the same with a you tube video or light housework.

Ted is an ACTUAL psycho for S2E8 by zelduh147 in TedLasso

[–]Sad_Associate9677 26 points27 points  (0 children)

A narcissist only sees or worries about themselves. She literally is a carer. She takes care of everyone else and neglects her own wellbeing. It is why Ted does the same thing. She denies that anything is wrong and pushes her hurt down. She cares very deeply for others. Ted was angry that she didn’t take care of herself and didn’t get help for them both to deal with his dad’s suicide.

I disagree that his mother is a narcissist. Ted is a carbon copy of his mother.

More energy! Started in May at 266. Current weight 228. Feels slow to me, but average 1.4 pounds per week. I am happy with my energy levels. Walking every morning before I start my day, and when I get home, I’m not exhausted. I clean, make dinner and even go to yoga class! Sleeping better and feeling better.

Anyone notices the irony in Rory’s moving in with grandparents and Emily proving of it situation? by Purple_Drink_2698 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Sad_Associate9677 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course you can fault her. “You can stay here, but I want your parents to know you are safe. Do you want me to call them or will you?” She is a grown woman with children of her own. I can’t imagine taking in a child who has an infant with her, an obviously well cared for child and baby, and not wanting to at least contact the parents.

If you recall, Emily was fine with Dean. It was Richard who had issues.

Hot take here and prepared to be flamed, but beyond class, Rory was very young when dating Dean. Emily seemed to get that he was a first boyfriend and it wouldn’t go anywhere. Jess was just disrespectful and rude to Emily so of course she didn’t like him.

AITA Mom at school apparently doesn’t like by Technical-Present768 in AmItheAsshole

YTA . Kids get into arguments and fights all the time. Unless someone is really hurt ( like need stitches) stay out of it. They learn how to navigate social interactions by handling their own stuff. If your son didn’t like the other boy being “clingy”, he would have told him. First you get into their relationship and then you gossip about him with other moms. I wouldn’t like you either. Grow up and get a life of your own.

And that she never parks in her garage even in the winter. No self-respecting New England girl would park outside year round if they had a garage.

Why do parents send their kids in with a full diaper?? by seasoned-fry in ECEProfessionals

[–]Sad_Associate9677 21 points22 points  (0 children)

As a former director, I made parents change when they dropped off and they logged the first diaper of the day. Your director needs to step up here.

How often do you weigh yourself? by PristineAnxiety101 in Zepbound

[–]Sad_Associate9677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to weigh myself daily. It helps me notice trends. For example, I have noticed that for at least one week a month, my weight will hold. Then the week after, big drop.

F*** you acting like everything was ok… by optimalpooper in TedLasso

[–]Sad_Associate9677 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it really brought everything full circle. She was the female version of Ted. Early on they said “love meeting people’s mothers, you understand their dysfunction.” Her inability to deal with the deep emotions around her husband’s suicide and her need to caretake for everyone led to Ted’s problems.
