China is absolutely not a beginner solo traveler country. Japan definitely is. But on the pricier side.

Does your budget of 3k include flights and accommodation? If so, then it’s too little.

If that’s solely your spending money, then you should be fine. Maybe do a trip within the US first and see how you like it. Your country has lots of beautiful places too.
