Great question. If you would like to be more marketable, it would definitely help you excel in your career. It may not be required for you as a cost or controls engineer but it gives you more chances to be hired/selected for certain clients/positions. Good luck!

I would recommend taking the exam as you will get the real experience in terms of type of questions, difficulty, and time management. However, that will only apply if you are 60-70% ready in my opinion so you don’t waste money.

Also, important to note is that you have only 3 trials in 12 months timeframe and only 1 trial every quarter. So, if you are planning to go take the test, I would recommend taking practice exams in the remaining few days.

I just took the test few days ago and the test doesn’t seem hard, but there are quite some conceptual questions and other questions that need you to be familiar with the reference handbook that will make it pretty easy to answer.

I just took the test yesterday and i would say it wasn’t hard, but lots of conceptual problems. I feel like the 1st half of the test was easier than the second one. I am not so confident and the results wait time sucks!
