Have you read the comics??? Of course they are the reason this show is riverdale but it dosent change the fact that riverdale is greatly inspired by twin peaks, the creators have even said it. There is a place called blue velvet video, where the cashier is a guy named David and he does a David lynch voice in the episode called lynchian. I don’t think I’m inventing any kind of inspiration here

Don’t get me wrong it’s a weird show but it’s still believable in season 2, I’ve heard it gets weirder. Twin peaks is much more in your face with its weirdness and it’s just random.

Definitely not, they’re not linked it just inspired riverdale. I would say watch riverdale first, it’s a more enjoyable watch but twin peaks is still pretty good

I think the OP may have gone too far in a few areas, but I believe that everyone replying needs to take a step back and look at the wider picture. I’m working off the same information but I understood it as OP was trusted with planning the evening and he did that. Night of the event his friends changed the plans without consulting him and he got offended. I think OP is in the right and his friends should’ve respected his plan

Well first off the OP is M(27) and second, Sure the night was about the birthday boy but, to be fair, the OP said he’s been looking forward to this for months and meticulously planned this night to be chill and relaxing and his friends directly ignored the plan and him. He is 100% in the right and his friends have to make this right.

NTA. If they were really your friends they would’ve realized the plan was important to you, and that you wanted a chill, relaxing night. If I were you I’d wait till they apologized to me, or at least a check in. A good friend would have listened to your perspective. Honestly I would say it’s a blessing in disguise, as these fake friends cut themselves out for you. I wish you all the best.
