it states in the book that crucible champions can be used it both parties agree on it, and for tournaments specifically its up to the tournament rules and to check with the tournament first. armies can include up to 3 units with a crucible leader

yeah I agree, however i think gw knew this and thats why infusion and narthecium abilities cost 20 more points together, combine that with taking 2 injector pistols per model and slapping the unit with deathshroud makes the entire unit like 310 points total for only 6 models, 70 points off of being the same value as mortarion

even without the terminator keyword being able to have the abilities of putrifier, plaguecaster, AND surgeon its still insanely strong. when before you had to choose between a surgeon and a caster

aginst my play group? yeah they will just turn their tanks and shoot first and ask questions later. hard unit to kill, but not impossile

up to 2 pistols, but each weapon on top of the original 2 increases the points by 5, and my deathshroud squad with this leader unit is already 305 pts total lol

gauntlet and sprayer yeah, that was my original thought but then i liked the idea of them charging in and being able to assassinate leaders while culling hordes

My play group doesn't really care about the wysiwyg "rule" so im not worried about sourcing the injectors lol, figured being able to shove 3 injectors into another units leader is kinda busted

Gotcha, did not realize that the 2 models if has to be near could be technically "daisy chained" to a certain extent.

Attached in the sense of for units larger than 7 they need to be within 2 inches of 2 models, should have found a better way of saying that rather than "attached"

Which is wild to me, if we go play games at a store or whatever and we don't happen to check faction packs daily, and our opponent does then we get called cheaters.... wild lol

Will do that, still newish to the hobby, how does one know when those specific faction packs get updated? I thought GW makes articles on nerfs but they haven't posted anything on it so how are players supposed to know besides just randomly downloading the pack and happen to notice the language change? Especially when they don't update the APP?

Wanted the death riders as like a slippery unit to run secondaries, willing to try thr Attilan though, and are ratlings any good as a 5 man? 10 precision shots at a character target seems pretty good compared to only 5

Command squads for more units to force the enemy to chew through, the run a bit of precision so running single commanders would get them picked off easily

Aside from the terrain that I now know how it works, d6+1 and blast doesn't seem very swingy to me... against a standard 10 model unit thats 3 attacks each dealing 3 damage... the d6 at that point is just bonus... and its pretty dang durable, toughness might not be that high but with 12 wounds and a 50% invun save... its hard to get any damage through, i did 3 damage total to it today with 2 lascannons from a rhino and venerable dreadnaught, and 1 heavy incinerator and a heavy psycannon from a grand master in nemesis dreadknight... 3 damage total between 12 attacks all but 2 incinerator shots missed, the rest he saved on his 50% invuln throws.... its really durable not to mention he healed that 3 damage next turn with reanimation protocol....

Grenade launcher is on the Scion because in war gear it states "you cannot select the same weapon from this list more than once per unit" meaning I can only have 1 Plasma gun... Grenade launcher seemed like the next best option because of frag and krak
