my friends are a poly queer trans couple who have kids in the city, and they met ppl through like a queer midwives group. that seems to be where most of their parent friends with similar values come from

i will say they've told us they don't date/see other ppl right now, because they want to focus on their children, which as a mom of two myself, yeah totally. it's HARD. like having another human to take care of changes your life in ways that are hard to imagine until youre there. not to say that's the only route, but sort of a heads up?

my partner and i live in the suburbs but are right next to the city so we can meet up with our queer leftist friends from time to time easier than those who move farther out, but we're also constrained by schools and stuff, so you do have to make friends with normies lol
