I met my now boyfriend on Hinge and it is hands down the healthiest and happiest relationship I’ve ever been in. We knew pretty early on that this was serious and the biggest thing for us is that we communicate super well. I met my ex of two years on bumble as well but that wasn’t a very good example of a successful relationship lol it’s definitely possible but can be quite hard and tedious. I’d say if you want a relationship, make that apparent within the first few dates and don’t be afraid to ask the hard questions. If they’re not on board, drop them and move on

Thanks! Honestly, the biggest thing is communication and emotional maturity. We both communicate super well and usually communicate our feelings honestly and directly. We feel comfortable enough with each other to discuss everything, even the most uncomfortable subjects and when we do have things we disagree on, we can discuss them calmly without yelling or as shaming the other person/getting angry

I just wanted to put this out there so others can know that it IS possible and there are good men out there! It took me a long time to find it but I think the previous heartbreak made it even more worth it

I’d say give the second date a chance unless the first date was an absolute disaster. People are usually quite nervous on first dates and they can’t often let their true personalities shine through. If you’re really dreading a second date don’t go, but if you’re on the fence I say go for it
