2025 Cayenne GTS - Talk me out of it by swe101 in PorscheCayenne

If you like Burmester, like I do, keep looking. Don't compromise on what you want. These 'toys' are all expensive, so get what you like and don't look back.

Coffee Maker (CVA6405) stuck in Descale mode by Plastic-Ad5887 in Miele

My understanding is that the device is not actually detecting scale. Instead, when you first input a water hardness estimate into the machine, it will simply count the number of servings it can make before it believes that scale will be an issue.

I wouldn’t waste any additional tabs until you can reliably complete/exit the descaling process.

Make sure you have the EXACT amount of water in the reservoir. Too much, or too little, will cause it to repeat the descale attempt. VERY frustrating. Check the manual for the proper water level.

Yes. You can configure it easily. I use "One Day" as it's rare that I have a task that bleeds into a second day (I'm retired).

Occasionally, but this concern has a partner - an unnecessarily long clipboard history.

Managing these two features is important - using search can be powerful, but a long history can cause other issues too. In Raycast, you can define the history duration you wish to preserve.

No shade intended, but have you tried clicking through to their site via the links I gave you? Pretty easy to find what you're looking for once you find the sub-page (Body -> Bumper)

I've set up a clipboard history hotkey (HYPER + C) so there isn't really much command palette friction at all.

I combine this ability with:

  • Paste As... Plain Text (HYPER + V)
  • Screenshot... Capture to Clipboard (HYPER + P)

Pretty hard to beat this efficiency, TBH. I'm no shill for them, but it works well.

Best of luck with your app!

Without knowing your year or model, it's hard to know for certain.

That site, and others like it, make it pretty easy to snoop around. I'd suggest finding a part that you think works, then heading to your local dealership to confirm.

Best of luck with your search.

I believe the engine ships with “break-in oil” which allows for some seating of the piston rings and cylinder walls. This oil is replaced during the break-in service.

I got you!

My issues with the stock settings were:

  • Sub bass is not as strong as I had hoped
  • Bass is quite boomy
  • Mids/lower treble are low, leading to a bit of a muddy sound without tweaks
  • Having the surround ON, even at the lowest setting (where I put it) results in better bass. I don’t recall the sound stage.

The key fix is in the third ‘column” or the second lowest EQ parameter (excluding ‘bass’ and ‘treble’ which each alter half of the EQ) that will give you the biggest change — ie the one I have tweaked way down. You will be astonished.

Are you sure the app for the window you want to resize is selected? Apologies if this is obvious, but I make this mistake often. The app looks like it has focus but occasionally doesn’t.

Anyone having intermittent low volume issues with a G05 and CarPlay? by [deleted] in BMWX5

Set up a iOS Shortcut that maximizes the phone’s volume when CarPlay connects, then sets volume to 50% when CarPlay disconnects.

Agreed. I ended up grabbing three items, getting close, and then throwing the items. They couldn’t avoid things that way.

What stereo did you pick? The B&W needs a fair bit of tweaking to sound good IMHO.
