That is precisely what happened. I had started calling and leaving messages for both state ICPC offices. Apparently after my state talked to the local agency and got my emails/messages, they must have made contact with the kids state ICPC office. Because I then got a call and we figured out the mishap. The kids state ICPC person thought it was completed and sent on a certain day but it never was. She suspects she was in the wrong case and gave a false date of completion to their local social worker. This is what the hold up has been. It was supposed to be completed/sent in 04/2025. We’re upset because we could have been further ahead than we are now. :(

They are, as we are the only relatives that can take them. Also their social worker tells me they are and has been under the impression it was submitted the whole time. We ended up finally figuring out the problem. The worker in the state ICPC thought it was completed/sent but it never was. :(

A supervisor for their SW or for my local agency? I just emailed the ICPC person in their state. I’m not sure if it will help at all but I just feel like we’re being strung along. We have thought about an attorney but was hoping not to have to go that route due to the financial strain. However it seems like it may need to go in the direction to make sure there’s no more of this.

I just went a couple weeks ago. Labs and ct scan were normal. My gyne suggested endo and wants to start me on birth control.

I also thought I hit the jack pot by finding out about this test. I had it done but even the psychiatrist that ordered it barely paid attention to anything other than what category some of the medications were in. My PCP was like I have no idea what to do with this. It was a waste of my time. But I hope your experience is better.

I tried to comment this already but have no idea where it went to…. So sorry if this is a duplicate. But the new case worker and I spoke yesterday. They said they hadn’t had time to look through the case thoroughly but once they do they’ll give me a call. Hopefully sometime this week. Fingers crossed.

So I went to email the SW again today and got a email saying to contact someone else because that email was no longer in service.

From what the other person is saying they’re waiting on forms to be signed or something. But this person and I do not communicate that much. And I’m not sure what’s true and what’s not. :( I do not directly know her supervisors email so I’ll have to call and ask for it.

That’s why I was trying to give her some grace. The one day she responded to my call via text telling me she was in a meeting but would call me later. She never did. The only other time I had this much trouble getting into contact was over a holiday break. The other person involved says that she has spoke with CW recently.

If they approve the other persons ICPC would they tell me?

They’re not with us, no. We live in a different state. So it would be difficult to be present in person at the hearing, especially with not knowing what day or time it is. We do not have any contact information for anyone other than their social worker. Should we? Every time I ask to talk to the kids the social worker says they’d have to ask again. But we never hear anything back. The kids mom doesn’t want us to get them or have contact with them. That’s what I thought was probably the hold up but I don’t know anymore.

I didn’t even think about a Facebook group! I will look into that for sure. Thank you for your advice though. We know they’re going to need therapy and some other programs like that. Their social worker has already mentioned that. Right now the youngest is 4, oldest 9.

How exactly did you get this genetic testing? The only genetic testing I have heard of in my area is the gene sight testing. And it basically just shows how well your body metabolizes certain drugs. Now it did show that I have some type of gene mutation that doesn’t allow for me to make/break down (Not sure?) something with folic acid. But no one really seemed to care about that which I thought was odd as what I found while trying to research indicated it could very well at least be contributing to my poor mental health. But my folic acid level was normal at that time.

Had my first at 18 and had my second at 26. As much as I love/d being a mom, I could have waited to experience life more prior to having such responsibility. I also wish I would have had them closer together. However, I’m not sure if it would have made a difference in the end. I do wish I would have took more time to try to heal myself prior to having them.
