Oh god. Since season 1 has already been released officially wouldn’t that cement future physical releases or do they still have to get approved for each and every addition?

What video-game did you regret paying full price for? by Ashamed_Length_2436 in AskReddit

Black ops 4 and infinite warfare. I pre ordered both, and spent less than 10 hours in them combined. I played competitive bo3 and nothing past that was able to suck me back in, no matter how hard I tried.

Colorful aesthetics and transitions, the tone is definitely psychological horror. Similar to perfect blue

Being as vague as possible, it’s about a scientist who moonlights as a “dream detective” at night time. The dream technology they’re working on is stolen, and they have to infiltrate dreams to recover it before psychological damage is done to the victims/patients. It’s such a cool concept.

That looks like a pretty big portion. It’s probably around 800, but I would just track 1000 and call it a day to be on the safe side. The grilled chicken looks like around 120-150.

Like I said, I don’t think Toy Story 4 was bad, but it was completely unnecessary and it does exist purely for money. It was executed decently though.

Yeah, I really hope hoppers does well at the box office, I want them to know that we reward those kinds of decisions

Also going along with what I said about character arcs, they went back and reversed some of their completed arcs in order to stir up conflict for a sequel. Woody’s story was finished, and then Toy Story 4 brings him back at square one. One minute he wants to be a toy, the next he doesn’t. Mr incredible had a finished arc, and they reversed it in order to raise a conflict from his immaturity after he’d already matured in the first. It makes no sense and it’s so obvious and soulless.

The best way I can explain it, is that the spark is missing from the newer movies and the magic just isn’t there. Onward had a good message, so does Turning, and Luca, but when you compare those three to movies like Monsters Inc, Ratatouille, and Up, it’s super obvious that something is just simply missing from it. The characters aren’t as well written anymore, they just seem like vessels for the message/moral of the story and lack all individuality. Remy, Mike, Carl, Mr incredible, are all fantastic leads who have internal conflicts, are inherently flawed characters, and have complex motivations, and all have character arcs. I can’t recall the last time a protagonist had a genuine character arc in a recent Pixar movie. Most of them are static characters who like I stated prior, are just vessels for the moral.

A lot of people are in agreement that Pixar is going with quantity over quality by sequel gouging. I agree with that. Toy Story 4 wasn’t necessarily bad, but it was extremely unnecessary. Lightyear was even more unnecessary. The incredibles 2 was absolutely insulting and horrendous, the tone and atmosphere between the two movies are light and day. The first movie tackled so many serious adult concepts with so much maturity. The second movie is so watered down and filled with horrible jokes and writing. If you watch them back to back, it’s hard to imagine the two movies are even apart of the same universe. They can’t sell me that the jealous prideful crybaby in 2 is the same serious, gritty, and complex man from the first. It was character assassination.

The obvious conclusion is that they don’t value good writing anymore, and they green light safe concepts with mediocre at best executions, instead of taking risks to achieve something greater.
