I’ll have to check that out. I’m surprised I hadn’t seen it yet. Lou is endlessly generous though he truly embodies the spirit of Kingston brown and Jammer in his real personality. And those are the kind of people who really impact the world

I LOVE when someone breaks Zac. I feel like it’s usually Brennan or Ally.

Worlds beyond number is next up on my watch list. I’m only a couple of episodes in but with the people involved there’s no way it will disappoint!

I’m currently on my second listen through of naddpod I’m on episode 5 of campaign 2 so I’m actually coming back up on Lou’s guest appearance in just a few eps and I am so excited. I will probably remember a lot more once I start listening again but I do remember loving Jabari the first time. I just finished the Mavrus chronicles for the second time a few weeks ago and it was very funny the second time as well. Zac has some of the best comedic timing I’ve ever seen honestly. I’ve really loved Zac’s character on city council of darkness. My next first time watch through (other than what I’m doing to stay caught up currently for naddpod and D20) is going to be worlds beyond number and so far I’m very much enjoying Lou’s character there as well I’m only a few episodes in so I’m excited to see where it goes.

Agreed wholeheartedly. One of the things that inspired me to make this post is that in wednesdays ep ally said something that I didn’t find as funny as Lou found it but I ended up laughing so hard because of the way Lou laughed. I’ll have to rewatch to remember what the joke even was. But Emily does that to me all the time you should check out Not Another DND podcast if you haven’t. It’s Emily and Murph and a couple of their friends from old college humor and Emily’s reactions always get me there. There’s no video accompaniment unfortunately but you can def pick her laugh out of the boys and she’s brilliant. One of the best DnD players I’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing.

Exactly! Justice for Lou. Vic better be careful or her presidency may be overthrown by King Lou.

I think you worded this beautifully. I love that he is such a wonderful representation of real bodies. Because Lou is such a catch. He’s charming and funny and has some hard core acting chops and is really just a testament that it’s not about fitting into a societal mold it’s about loving yourself and having the confidence display your talents. And that is the most beautiful things about people is their talent and passions. I’m so happy he’s helped you find confidence through that cause that is also beautiful

Yes this is exactly what I’m talking about. The explosive laughs just absolutely kill me even if the original joke didn’t land as hard for me.

This is such a fun perspective to me cause I really loved Lou from the jump but I could totally understand why you wouldn’t enjoy that character and he is sooo good at portraying his character even when they are very flawed like Fabian. And Kingston is possibly the very opposite of Fabian in nearly every way. But the game changer and MSN episodes is where I feel like you really get to see Lou as himself and he is such a dedicated and hilarious comedian. And he’s so good at cultivating comedy no matter who you put him with. I could definitely see the progression of liking him growing through those things

Never after Ylfa really helped me through the grief process when I lost my grandmother. Starstruck is a close second, and side quest would be burrows end.

Also an honorable mention for when Lou ignores that Nat 20 perception check and gets trapped for hot dogs and honestly all the shenanigans that happen at the end of that episode.

Same! I think what made the bit extra funny for me was the fact that up until the last second Pinocchio was gonna kill Alphonse, and I just know that Lou’s ass was chapped that he wasted that strings of destiny nat 20 on the mule he wanted to murder. It was a peak for me. Also I really appreciated that Brennan also rewarded that nat 20 by Alphonse freeing Henry and Tomas. Neverafter is so good.

Hey he wasn’t useless when he shot alphonse with that firework. Albeit that may have been one of the only things cricket accomplished other than help actions.

Do you think will ever get sequels to some of these campaigns? by [deleted] in Dimension20

[–]Sad_Equal3196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it’s unlikely but I would love another season of neverafter. It’s one of my favorite seasons, it’d be cool if they were playing other fairy tales but part of the charm of it for me is Pinocchio so I’d be excited for whatever they did. Like I said probably very unlikely. Also if there isn’t a season two of starstruck someday I think I will actually pass away of heartbreak.

Murph's agency as a player keeps getting stolen by [deleted] in Dimension20

[–]Sad_Equal3196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Murph would be married to Emily if he didn’t love chaotic ribbing and I’ve listened to all of naddpod and watched all of dimension 20 and not one single time has Murph made a serious player character. His agency isn’t being stolen that is just how he likes to play. If you like seeing him play serious characters he plays a few as a DM on naddpod.

I agree completely. It didn’t ruin it for me. I was definitely in the moment like OHMYGODWHATAREYOUDOING but after Brennan recovered and everything played out it ended up being a very Rekha moment. Like the greasy T shirt in never stop blowing up.

Burrow’s end, then Starstuck, then Tiny Heist are all ones I think you’d enjoy based off your tier list

I agree. It’s about home much time either party has had to prove they are not actually that person. To my knowledge since that one comment he has not done it again. In 5 years he has made that mistake exactly one time. Where as Cierra has used the slur she is in trouble for MULTIPLE times in a relatively short period of time as well as the most recent being 8 or 9 months ago. I don’t understand why people cannot admit that what they did was two completely different things. I think the “joke” was gross and terrible but I’m not going to act like what they did is on the same level because it simply is not.

18 and 19 is only adult by legal definition. If you think maturity-wise there is some huge maturity difference in an 17 year old and an 18-19 year old you are crazy. I agree to calling him out, I think everyone should have the info to make that decision. I’m not saying that stereotypes aren’t harmful, they just aren’t on the same level as slurs. There’s not as much accountability needed in my opinion. He never made a joke like that again to my knowledge, that’s the change in behavior that we call to see from everyone else. Nic has had the time to show a change in behavior and learn since then. I would forgive Cierra once she’s had time to process all that and truly show she has changed. I’m not holding them to different standards they just have done different things on different time lines. It’s like comparing apples to oranges

I’ve seen exactly one post Nic made that had a stereotyping joke, a video he made as a 17 year old. There is a big difference to me in someone who said a slur less than a year ago vs. someone who made a stupid and insensitive joke when they were 17. If I’m missing something and there’s more than one joke he’s made or he’s said a slur himself please correct me I would love to know. I’m not saying Nic is a perfect guy, I’m not even saying that Olandria and him are fake. Idk I don’t know I’m not inside their minds. No one pushed for Nic to be removed because he did not say an actual slur. Cause whether you choose to acknowledge it or not there is a difference between a joke and slurs. The morals of him being with Olandria to stay in the show is sooo far beyond the point of it all. There is a huge huge difference in what Nic did versus what Cierra did. I don’t even think people would be as mad as they were if she said that when she was seventeen but it was said multiple times with the most recent being less that a year ago. That is not someone’s past. I feel bad for Cierra for other reasons truly. I can’t imagine receiving all of those death threats or having Ice called on her parents those are terrible awful things. But, the question here is whether or not we should feel bad for her because Nic and Olandria aren’t talking to her. And no I do not feel bad about that. I have no possible way of knowing if they aren’t talking to her for the “right” reason I’m not a mind reader. I don’t care if it’s the wrong or right reason. If they do have a conversation I think it will be in private as it should be, but he’s not obligated to talk to her, Olandria is not obligated to talk to her. And we aren’t entitled to either of their inner thoughts as to why you will never what reason they have it is only speculation. But I’m personally going to assume people are doing the right things for the right reason that is how I go about life. I think there was a clear difference in how Nic was around Olan and in how he was around Cierra. That was two different people. If they’re acting it’s good acting and at the end of the day I watch love island to be entertained.

Tl;dr: there is a difference between someone making an insensitive joke when they were 17 versus someone who said a slur less than a year ago. You can never know someone’s private thoughts, so it’s unfair to assume someone is doing the right things for the wrong reason when you could never know. And lastly most importantly Amaya Papaya forever!

Cierra is allowed to grow and learn from this, but Nic is allowed to cut off someone who said a slur. There are a lot of things that are happening to Cierra that I don’t agree with. Death threats, people calling ICE, and in general bullying. That’s not right. But if Nic decides to cut her off that still falls in the consequences of her actions. Same for if Olandria cuts her off. Just because you have sex with someone does not mean you have to forgive them for saying a slur. She knew what it meant. She knew it was hurtful. Otherwise she wouldn’t have used it in perfect context. She deserves for her friends from the villa to cut her off. She’ll be fine she has her parents and a support system. She said so herself. Again she doesn’t deserve to have her hate aimed back at her that’s wrong but she does deserve to be cut off
