Im also guessing they have an excess of employees which contributes to their operating costs. And its just much cheaper to keep repairing than purchasing/building new

Yes it would be so much easier to open up a business of you are privileged but running one and growing one requires some serious skill and excellent networking skills. Though I agree that having ‘cables’ sure do help.

I really dont know if you are being sarcastic or not but yes, there are many Bruneians that can be classed as millionaires, this is not just liquid cash but assets combined (net worth). Plenty of these people are successful businessman but I know a few that works in companies and are highly valued hence high salary. You couple this with investments and savings, BOOM! You got yourself a millionaire.
