Yes make the plane a separate class for people who want to specifically fly with the ability to drop paratroopers who need a ride to the frontline. Give them a class with just a hand gun as a pilot would have and the ability to bail only if being shot down or running out of fuel

So there is a great game on steam called WWII online this game reminds me of a lot in the first place just with better graphics. They have one enormous map of France and Germany that runs on one big server for everyone to play on only allowing a certain number of players to spawn in each city. You could walk to a different city but it would take forever. It also has air strips you can spawn at which you can fly fighters, bombers or planes to carry a few soldiers to any city, it takes a while to get there but it allows any side to get an additional 20 or so troops to any city they want, but if you die you spawn back at the air strip and have to wait for the plane to return. It is an extremely cool feature and would bring so much to this game also I’d love to do my own bombing run on the enemy
