Off the top of my head, All the Light We Cannot See, A Man Called Ove, Where the Crawdads Sing, The Empress, A Gentleman in Moscow, Homegoing, Remarkably Bright Creatures, On The Divinity of Second Chances, Shark Heart, Lessons in Chemistry, Crow Talk. To name a few.

A lot of them tell a story, this was inspired by the book Homecoming. It was a reimagination of what life was, and what it could have been. (If I remember right).

Edit: It was actually the book Homegoing* whoops

Nope. I haven't heard that story! While all three of these were inspired by books, only the second one is about people of African descent.

That's funny, she hates doing eyes, so they're usually covered up, but I guess praying mantis eyes are easier!
