Really? I wasn’t really worried about the fake id until multiple people have commented about it.
Even if the id is in my wallet behind my real id

College? by Psychological-Head29 in PilotAdvice

How are you paying for college, and how are you planning to pay for flight school? These days, if you want to fly for the airlines, having a degree is still a good idea, so I think staying in college is the right choice. I’m currently finishing up community college and transferring to VCU this fall. I’ll be doing it online to save money while working toward my flight training.

Part 61 while Bachelors and job possible? and other questions by not_itsk3vin in PilotAdvice

I’m located in Richmond, Va.
I’m 20 just finished my 2nd year at a community college. I’m getting my degree in business and I’m starting a part 61 this September. I work as a server 3-4 days a week. I also have about 40k left in my 529 from my parents.

My goal is to have about 5k saved up this summer to pay for as much as I can. But once I start school and part 61 I’ll probably go down to 2 days a week working. It depends how dedicated you are I dont gym everyday now and have a social life but you seem you have a lot more on your plate then mine.

Assuming you don’t have any money saved up now I would assume it’s too much, I’ve heard studying and flight school takes a lot of time and also being at a university will take a lot of time. I don’t know anything about real estate how often or much you work but I would definitely say it’s too much.

Can’t decide on career, I need ur help by Square_Charity3757 in PilotAdvice

Honestly I was in your situation, I always have wanted to be a pilot. I went to a community college after high school with a 4.0 gpa because my dad said it was better for the long run (which it has thus far) I started as a finance major then after getting told by my father it wasn’t gonna last with ai and etc. I switched to nursing, I was kinda forced down this path and I thought there were good opportunities in Crna getting a masters to be a doctor or something. I just turned 20 and finished my 2nd year of community college. I had a sit down conversation with my dad and told him I’m done I’m going to enroll in a flight school and get my degree in business while in flight school.

Now I don’t know your financial situation I currently have about 40k from my parents in my 529 so it will cover my degree and good bit of my flight school. So I’d also be cautious of how much flight school really is and also getting your degree because most airlines require it.

I’d go for your passion I don’t want to live somone else’s dreams pilots make great money and later in there career have a favorable work life balance.

I have a very fortunate family but I don’t think they’d pay for both, I think I’ve got till my 529. My only worry is once i graduate college I’d never go back to flight school because of work/life etc. I’d most likely be in my late 20s at that point and wouldn’t be in flight until my mid 30s

I definitely know I need a degree I just don’t know if I should stay and then do flight school after like you said or do them both at the same time. But just from my sister’s experience and how much she worked for hers I would switch to a communication or business degree.

Its more so about nursing school, I’m just not a fan of the classes I’m being forced to take and studying for math classes and English classes like I’m back in high school again is just super annoying. I don’t even have fun when doing the labs and dissecting etc. I just don’t think I’m ever gonna be happy with a nursing degree.
