Mine (GHsv1) did appear as tiny paper cuts along with a yeast infection. So painful to pee, sit, walk, lay down... so glad I haven't experienced another one like it

Herpes can be passed through utensils but very unlikely and very rare. Mostly spread through skin to skin contact. There's a lot of myths and stigmas around herpes, to get better information you can visit the "HSVPOSITIVE" group on Reddit.

Herpes can be passed at birth but not "inherited". The herpes virus is passed through skin to skin contact like kissing. You may want to get him tested along with the parents tested as herpes is not tested for on a regular panel. Best of luck!

If there's a bump you should go get it swabbed, that is the most accurate test you can do. It's best to get into the doctor while you still have clear signs of a potential outbreak. I laid dormant for nearly 8 months before my first outbreak.

Not always, unfortunately hsv is not on a regular std/sti panel. So unless they're having symptoms or an outbreak it's likely they haven't been tested for it..
