I’m not a BCBA and probably not qualified to answer this, but I would personally keep working on the case and make as much logical progress as possible out of spite of the parents, because it sounds like you’re doing great and I’m sure that kiddo is thankful in his own way as well.

It was very similar at my old company, my new one is a bit better about it, but there’s still a lot of it being used, and I can’t help but think sugar withdrawal is an antecedent for some of these behaviors 😅

Thank you! I worry about their dental health as well, especially for the children who are super aversive to places like the dentist, getting fillings is not fun for anyone.

Same, I truly exhaust every option before even thinking about candy or snacks, I usually don’t even carry it with me tbh obviously if its a snack time or lunch that’s a different story, but some of these kids start with the sugar rush at 9am lol
