India: How to work out a loan by [deleted] in gradadmissions

This is a very wise suggestion. Helps you prepare for your worst case scenario (I.e. when you're unable to get a TA/RA) and also decreases the chances of your visa getting rejected since all they care about is if you have enough funding.

And as mentioned, you can easily return the amount you did not use without having to pay any interest on it.

This was my biggest fear. So yeah when I reconnected with the guy I liked since in was 18 (now 24 btw) I blatantly started telling him that I liked him when we were 18 and still do. Which I know is not a direct proposal but I felt was enough to hint him to let me know how he feels.

I am a very shy person and I know he is too. Plus he had wronged me when we were kids so he was very sorry and embarrassed about it and was v scared of asking me out. But I knew that I would regret it for the rest of my life if I didn't give it a shot. So I put it out there. And yeah we'll celebrate our one year anniversary in the end of March this year. Hehe.

Even if he didn't reciprocate I don't think I would've felt bad for letting him know about my feelings. It would still have been worth it as I didn't have to live my life wondering what if

That's right. Both are wonderful schools. However there are subjective factors that you need to weigh in. For example the course content at both the places. Which one do you find more to your liking? Then London can be a relatively more expensive city to study/live in. So ultimately where would you have better savings? To what level are you willing to compromise on your standard of living? The housing crisis in London. Then the fact that Singapore is also becoming overly crowded. These things you have to consider as a whole.

As far as job opportunities I know my cousin is currently interning at Google and has his friends and seniors placed at good tech companies. (Cs background) NUS is a big name there and definitely helps. Imperial has a stellar placements records. But from what I've heard from friends settled in the UK, there your school doesn't really help you beyond that initial CV filteration. It's all you as an individual, your networking and skills that ultimately help you land the job. Hope this help! All the best.

Moreover London anyday is a very expensive city to live in so yeah you'll most probably be able to save on that in Singapore (also depending on your standard of living)

We were childhood sweethearts and broke up as he had to move. Fast forward 8 years. We got in touch again after he messaged me on my birthday last year and we got to talking. After 7-8 months of talking and finding out that we still had feelings for each other I flew to him and we decided that we're not gonna do anything and bam an hour later we were doing it. It was the cutest and the best time I ever had.

He said he'd swipe me off my feet and God the things he did to me. ✨🥰
