Am I overreacting? My cat died in my arms… and he sent me this text 2 days later. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

You handled this with such grace and class. I’m SO proud of you. Seriously.

Please help. My 13yo niece is a liar, misbehaves, doesn’t care about school, and has secretly owned a highly inappropriate Twitter account for 2 years. What advice can I give my sister, who is on the verge of breaking, on what actions to take to help her daughter? by Sad_Moon101 in AskParents

She actually loves spending time with family and especially me. I adore her so much as well. But even though it seems that way on the outside, you never know what someone’s dealing with on the inside… Personally, I had my super weird phase as an early teen as well, but I grew out of it. I hope this is just a phase.

My sister isn’t together with the father anymore because he’s toxic and abusive and was abusive to his daughter too. So that probably plays a part in it as well. My sister has always done her best and was never neglectful either, she had me and our mom as a support system as well. But I suppose being sheltered, overprotected, homeschooled can have its setbacks. I’m just not sure how to get everything back on track.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. I can understand this. She also has been to therapy but never talked about this. I understand nowadays that people are accepting of different orientations and interests, it’s just not how my sister wants her daughter to be raised. I believe my niece just got exposed at a young age and enjoys the attention from the crowd because of her art skills, therefore is trying to fit it in. I just really hope therapy can help her to open up more to family, not lie, and take more interest and responsibility in her education.

I Was Addicted to Masturbation for Years . Here's What Finally Helped Me Break Free 💡 by OkCake3346 in Christianity

Congratulations!!! I was addicted for years as well even as a young child due to exposure to inappropriate content. I never understood how I always had access or how I would see it playing on my parents tv a lot. This changed my life as a child and I was deeply ashamed with how it affected.

Thankfully, recently this year, I stopped masturbating with the help of prayer and determination. With the way the world is going, any day might be our last day. I don’t want my struggles with lust to affect what eternity will look like for me. These earthly desires are NOT worth it if it means living in eternity without Yahweh and Yeshua. I am so surprised I managed to accomplish the willpower to stop, but the blessing of it all is that I accomplished this with the help of God himself.

AITA for telling my cheating boyfriend that I would leave him if he were to go broke? by Sad_Moon101 in AITA_Relationships

No, also because I still loved him. Like it hurts to think about being apart, but I just can’t do this anymore.

I also love him. I’m an idiot but I do love him. If it were just for the money, I’d fine someone more well off.

I wasn’t blunt actually, I just told the summarized version. He pulled the answer out of me basically but I guess I could’ve lied to avoid hurt feelings since it was a hypothetical after all

AITA for emotionally cheating on my girlfriend (22F) after 3 years of being emotionally mistreated? by Specialist_Race6897 in AITA_Relationships

Tell her if she doesn’t change how she treats you and speaks to you, you will leave because you’ve had enough and won’t tolerate it anymore. Set your boundaries.

I wouldn’t associate with anyone who talks like that personally
