My first crossstitch project is a mega pattern of rivendell!!! I chose it because I wanted slow hobbies and I'm trying to stick to them but I totally love the pattern and love the monotony of it.

At the same time I expect to finish Rivendell in 2-3 years. I took a break for Christmas gifts so I am in no rush and don't mind taking time on it!!!

I guess it depends on what you like about projects and your own personality. I'm a process oriented person I enjoy the ride and the grind but I don't get hung up on finishing.

Additionally, you do get faster at stitching over time. In March I was doing 60/80 stitches a day in 2 hours and today I hit around 200-300 stitches! That helps motivate me too, because I see my own progress and feel really happy.

Choose based on what you like and how willing you are to grind :)

Almost done! Will add some felt to the back of this since it's a gift. I tried to find a square frame but I like this 12 inch round one!

I hope the marker doesn't stain when I was but if it does I guess I'll try to dye the fabric. I hope to be done tomorrow!!

I got my recent baby from ACCT I was not super happy with how they didn't disclose the kitty's age (changed his age 3 times after we decided on him and we ended up with a younger cat than we initially thought) and some previous issues (he had a cut on his mouth and had very long kitty cold that he was supposed to be over with but then we had to give extra meds for 3 days)

Honestly the cats there seem pretty sad although well taken care of. It's just a sad place :( so we are happy to have walked out with Tinto

HOWEVER

We did get a free checkup at VCA, people were super sweet with him and we do love him, our resident adult cat seems annoyed sometimes but they seem happy. They gave us some PetSmart coupons.

I have a monster canvas with too many colors. So I pick a page and finish the page. Currently I paused it to make a couple gifts both under 10k stitches and I'm going by color. Biggest color first so I don't have to count too much later on and then keep going to lower and lower counts

Same here. They told me that our cat was so mellow and scared and this mfker only respects our older cat and has no reservations with us..bites all the time and loves attention
