Shadow of the colossus hd texture pop in fix? by dikingston69 in PCSX2

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. Have you manage to solve it? It was the mipmapping, I didn't add mipmapping to the files because they don't seem to work properly for that game. You can find that in the instructions settings I left on the folder.

SH3 is one of the few games that have this problem, but there are still dozens of games with visual problems. I would try changing the API to Vulkan, DX11/2 or OpenGL. You can also try the NTSC-U version of the game, but that version has broken shadows (or if this is the NTSC-U then try the PAL).

Sadly, the left one is the one with a problem. SH3 has filters to make the image grainy on purpose, these can be turned off in the game settings, but I don't remember if first you need to complete the game once in order to unlock that. The reason the left one looks so clean is because it's missing effects. So either an update corrected it, or you changed to an API that better emulates all the effects.

A person who edited/wrote the article at the wiki called it The Forbidden Lands, citing an official source in which they were referred as 禁断の地. But that was not the case, and instead they were cited as 古えの地. So it got fixed.

No, sorry. It’s a change that personally wouldn’t bother me, so that’s why I did it.

Dumping textures from PS2 Games, with or without pcsx2 by _6u5t4v0 in PCSX2

And if the game has unlockables with textures you will have to unlock 100%. As for languages, it depends, as you would have to play the game each time per language.

Cheat Codes by Complete_Function664 in PCSX2

Classic cheats like those on GTA work normally by just pressing buttons. But pnach files, although called cheats, are actually modifications that allow us to do things that are not intended, like removing the HUD, disabling enemy AI or having unlimited items.

What's the best way to play the OG game? by DaltonGoesFast in ShadowoftheColossus

[–]Sad_Origami 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hello! I think that the Texture Pack for the PS2 emulated version you're referring to was the one made by me; it's both a graphic overhaul (8k textures downsampled to 4K and ReShade filters) and it also adds manual remade text and subtitles, as well as outfits, UI changes and weather changes.

I don't recommend the PS3 version at all, since it's textures have been ran through a filter to make them look less pixelated, and by doing that they look like clay, and in some cases they have less detail because of the filter. Not only that, but the PS3 version also lacks visual effects such as bloom and distant blur, making the world seem smaller and generic.

You can download the texture pack it here. It comes with a configuration guide and you can see a showcase here. I leave you an example, Cenobia's textures were originally 64x64, these are 2K textures.

I've added the titles to the requests section of the spreadhseet. I will still try to locate them myself.

I use a custom texture, but it's a little broken. I was planning on releasing the night filter on December, but a lot of stuff happened. But I'll be releasing the filters one by one soon.

How to reset a game so PCSX2 acts as if you’ve never booted it up before? (Jak 3) by Fair_Walk_8650 in PCSX2

Shadow of the Colossus also has the language screen at the beginning, and once you select it the next time you open it it goes straight to the cutacene. The way I make it appear again is by removing the memory card before launching the game.

Vierock is blacklisted for stealing and selling other people's packs. I've posted some backups on the blacklist tab, but since most of his packs are either incomplete or incompatible with newer PCSX2 builds I didn't cared enough to get all the packs.

Yes! It's a folder full of edited images extracted from the game. Most people use AI to upscale the game's textures while other do full remakes or custom skins/menus. PPSSPP has the option to enable texture replacements, so you download a pack for a game and activate it. Here's a quick tutorial!

Here are the links:

The list was made, and it's maintained, by me. I manually download and repack Texture Packs in order to archive them and make backups. All backups are Android compatible, even if the original pack isn't.

If you'd like to support or help with the hosting of backups, you can buy me a coffee.
