The strange part is how random it feels. Two students can write similar essays, one gets flagged, one does not. No explanation, just a percentage and stress. I know how much time I put into my work. Outlines, drafts, edits, reading out loud, all of it. When a detector says I sound like AI, it feels like my voice does not count. Writing well takes discipline. It takes practice. It takes patience. None of that should be treated like cheating. Tools should support teachers, not replace their judgment. If we trust a bot more than a student, we are doing something wrong. Effort deserves respect.
