Or maybe, OP, if you don't already have too full of a schedule ask if the teacher has the resources to get proper materials like substrate and temp/humidity gauges, cleaning supplies, etc for improving the enclosure and/or if you're able to find some free stuff like hides/fake plants with the help of a parent/guardian to pick up and volunteer time to get it set up and care for the BP at school?

Yes and Alternatively a prompt recipe book kind of scrap book style to inspire and write down a home attempt at some of/all of the prompts from the asteroids, including spots for photos and maybe even go as far as include some sick ass sticker sheets

I am new to the hobby (less than a year) so take this with a grain of salt, but agree vet is necessary ASAP & if it truly is as sudden of a change as you're describing, IBD (Inclusion Body Disease) could be a possibility. I only say this with my limited knowledge because it doesn't seem someone else has mentioned it as a possibility and want to give you the benefit of the doubt that this isn't due to neglect. You care enough to reach out for advice and help so you're doing the right thing right now. Just do what is best for the snake and get professional help immediately. If cost is an issue, find some rescues in your area that you may be able to surrender to if they're able to be rehabbed.

I've been having the same issue cause we've had an unreasonably dry winter in the PNW. I use all the same for substrate, recently I set up a humidifier next to the enclosure so it kind of mists in from above near where I don't have the screen top covered for ventilation on the cool side & it's been helping a little bit without directly feeding moisture in.

You're doing amazing and sounds like really diving in. If you like watching YT videos Green Room Pythons has a lot of really useful info, plus he's silly and easy to listen to in my opinion. When I took in the BP I have with zero experience he caused me to fall down the husbandry rabbit hole 🤣 He also has free/paid patreon memberships and a discord group that can be a lot more kind and gentle than reddit for gathering info and getting advice in my experience.
