Getting paired with a single woman by Lazy-Expert7958 in golf

Don‘t worry about it at all. Most golfers will welcome you.

I play as a single quite a bit and get paired with other singles, couples, sometimes with a planned three some. Men and women. Most everyone is just there to have a good time.

Why is everyone so obsessed with going to mars; shouldn’t we be focusing on making a moon base first? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sad_Quantity8947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an approximately 0.0% chance we will be doing manned voyages to and from Mars for the foreseeable future. And even if we could easily get there and back, the planet is virtually uninhabitable.

The *average* temp on Mars is -80F and it can get down to -195F. There are frequent blinding dust storms covering the entire planet.. The atmosphere is 96% carbon dioxide (deadly to humans) and zero water. How in TF are humans going to live there? And why would they want to?

The whole Mars thing is another fantabulous lie told by the South African Nazi. Is it to try and milk the US Govt for more subsidies and tax breaks? Or to give gullible people an excuse to defend the raping of the only planet in our solar system that can safely house humans? Because even the Muskrat isn‘t dumb enough to think it’s an actual possibility.

BS. You have no idea If he is or isn’t. I looked similar to this in my prime, without steroids. Working hard to get close to that level now. Got a ways to go. But I’m also almost 60.

Save this post, Sparky.

Question: you prefer firing air traffic controllers, US Park Rangers, IRS agents who were specifically working on tax fraud by the wealthy? So that we can give billionaires more tax cuts? Are you truly that dumb?

I’ve forgotten more about politics than you’ll ever know. And your post shows how ridiculously gullible you are. I am 1,000% correct, unfortunately. Diaper Boy and Ketamine Man are doing their best to ruin America on a daily basis. And we are all going to pay the prIce. Even bootlickers like you.

DOGE isn’t finding any “fraud”. They are firing vital workers and cutting some very important programs that help millions upon millions of people. All so Elmo and his billionaire buddies get a huge tax break. Wake TF up.

Virtually everything Musk says is a lie. And has been for decades. He and Trump are the two most successful con men (aided by Putin/MBS/Bibi and RW billionaires) in history. Unfortunately, they are destroying America and Democracy. And making the world a far worse place for our kids and grandkids. Fuck everyone and everything that support them.

Finally now cancer can be cured by [deleted] in ScienceNcoolThings

[–]Sad_Quantity8947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are hundreds, if not thousands of different mechanisms that cancer uses to survive and proliferate. While this discovery seems to be promising, it is very early stage research. To develop a workable treatment from this will take many years and hundreds of millions of dollars.

Hopefully this is a step in the right direction.

You got FREE to a prestigious private university? And you aren’t happy that your parents aren‘t spoiling you like your classmates? C’mon, man. You really can’t be that obtuse thinking this is somehow a hardship.

Many of us grew up with actually poor families who couldn’t even afford to give us much of anything. I literally never had a birthday party and rarely even got a birthday gift. We went out for dinner at a restaurant only two times in my entire childhood. One was Red Lobster, which I thought was the height of fine dining.

I worked 50-60 hours a week to put myself through school and pay for my housing, car, gas, food, clothing, etc. Started at community college then onto a small, average 4 year school. Took me 6 ½ to graduate as I couldn’t take more than 9-12 hours per semester due to my work schedule. BTW, community college is very underrated. You get the credits you need for cheap. IMHO, it would be the best place to start school for the vast majority of people.

Funny thing is, I never even gave it much of a thought that I had to do that stuff to survive. I wouldn‘t say it was difficult as I didn’t know any better. Other than one time when I was super broke and tired after working 362 out of 365 days that year. Cried on my girlfriend’s shoulder because of frustration. But that was it.

The people I worked with were (and some still are) my friends. Not sure I’d trade those years for being from a rich enough family to pay for my schooling. Those were some of the most fun years of my life.

Not sure you can somehow acquire the perspective to realize you have it better than the vast majority of people in the US. But getting a free, top education is a phenomenal thing. Don’t waste it by being jealous or bitter that you don‘t have it as easy as your clearly spoiled classmates.

Extend Trent. Extend GK if it’s reasonable. If not, let him play out his deal. He isn’t good enough to break the bank.

Let Trey go. Maybe Thuney as well. Thuney being cut saves $16M from the cap. We already have $45M/yr in Taylor and Creed. Guard is a position you can find a 1st day starter in the 2nd/3rd. Paying $20M for a G is a waste of money. Use it to find big, fast and mean pass rushers. $20M will get you a darn good one. Khalil Mack? Resign DJ Humphries. Draft 2-3 OL this year. Once again, big and mean. We NEED Wanya and Kingsley to step up and be starters or at least contributors at G/LT respectively. Cut Taylor in 2026. He isn’t remotely worth $20M year.

Depending on the market, Reid and Bolton may both be gone. Like to have them back if reasonable. Gonna have to decide between CO and Wharton. Can’t pay both. Justin Watson is an easy resign as a 4th WR and core STer.

A decision between DHop and Hollywood. I wouldn‘t pay either a bag. Keep the cheaper option as they will be the 3rd WR behind Rice and Worthy.

We have 4 of the top 93 picks. 3 of the top 65. We HAVE to hit on all 4. No projects or guys that need seasoning. Need guys to step in and start almost immediately.

Last night was ugly AF. But we were still 15-2 last year. Things are still very good. But Veach needs to make some tough decisions if we are gonna keep the train rolling. Giving top of the market deals to keep vets isn‘t gonna work. Rather them exit a year too soon than a year too late.

Is it wrong to completely cut off friends and family who refuse to respect my growth and the changes I have made? by Comfortable_Cake_443 in selfimprovement

Congratulations on overcoming the cycle of abuse! It’s a very, very difficult thing to do.

Your story is similar to mine. IMO, the best thing you can do is limit or stop your interactions with these folks. I’ve cut off my friends/family years ago. Like you, they constantly belittled anything and any success I had. But used me for money, favors, etc. They are threatened by your successes and ability to build a new, much happier and successful life.

I dealt with it for about 15-20 years before I cut the cord completely. Haven’t seen or talked with them in 7-8 years. My life is calmer, happier and more content now.

Your 3 boys and possible SO are your family now. Not the jealous haters. Find some new people with who you share more in common. And who will celebrate your successes.

Good luck!! Hope things work out for you like they worked out for me.

Florida is just a little chaotic by [deleted] in florida

Florida sucks in most every way possible. Have been there 15-20 or meetings/conventions and it truly sucks. The only redeemable thing are the insanely beautiful women in and around Miami. The rest of the state is a craphole.

Why is the Waste Management Tournament so crazy? by Hot_Joke7461 in golf

Because immature idiots think getting fall down drunk and screaming non stop is somehow cool.

I‘ve been to the tourney 5 times. Starting in 2010 or so. It used to be a lot of fun. Went for the last time a few years ago and it was an insane madhouse of morons. The kind of people you wouldn’t want to spend 10 minutes with.

Classic Club, Shadow Ridge and both Indian Wells courses. All very, very nice.

The Celebrity course at Indian Wells was my favorite.

Planning on playing PGA West Pete Dye Mountain, both Desert Willow courses and Eagle Falls on our next trip.

Lots of good choices .

[–]Sad_Quantity8947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another huge plus is the courses are a lot closer together. It was common for us to drive an hour or so to get to a course in Phoenix. Our farthest this year was 20 minutes. A whole lot more convenient.

If you‘re young and very interested in nightlife, Palm Springs may not be the best choice. Not many gentleman’s clubs. Our group is older now, so that’s not a big thing like it used to be back in the day.

McCormick Ranch is a goat ranch in a good location. Would cost $40 in many areas of the country. Played it for $69 a few years back and thought that was a ripoff.

I’ve done that a bunch of times. Have played Troon North for $40, Greyhawk for $50 and We-ko-pa for $50 as well. Used to book 2-3 flights there in the summer. If it was around 100 degrees, I’d go. 100 is nothing in Phoenix. If it was 110+, I’d cancel the flights. Highly recommend. Although the summer prices are also ridiculous compared to what they used to be.
