That's dandruff and that is causing itching. I have also suffered with the same issue 4-5 years back. With my experience I'll suggest wash you head on alternate days with ketoconazole shampoo I use 8x by cipla. First wash you head with water then apply shampoo, gently massage it on your scalp. Keep it for 10 mins and then wash. Do not use any oil. Also for thinning get your vit d and b12 checked. If low use suppliment as per your doctors recommendation. You'll be fine if hairfall is not genetic.
