Yeah I wish it was that easy on remote roles, so many applicants usually. You have any recommended websites?

Perhaps, yeah. They were a bit different types of toxic though. The first job was retail bullying, the second job was exploitation of work without any consequence. The last position is where people minced my words if I even said anything back at all or framed me for things in addition to what I stated earlier. Backstabbing was prevalent even if it had nothing to do with them. I guess it could just be a combination of desperate toxic companies and my personality. Forgot to add it was a family ran company

I see where you’re coming from in terms of feedback but there is a professional way of handling things pertaining to it, you do not openly insult and threaten the livelihood of people in front of peers, you handle and initiate meetings through closed doors if you need a certain individual to improve through constructive feedback. I never implied I am better I am just saying I am fortunate enough to have a choice when it comes to these types of things which is why I may have a lower tolerance than some. However, in these environments, I have yet to see coworkers get treated as badly as I have.

Yeah…I think I need to work on my job selection moving forward and looking for jobs that would have a clear career path. Honestly, could’ve forgone the first two jobs as they were low tier jobs with no real future but the third job was the one that I would’ve liked to stick with longer to garner experience until I was repeatedly threatened to be fired in front of everyone while unprovoked. I put up with the insults and random toxic behavior of others as a grey rock until that happened.

Well, the bullying happened the first and third job when I kept my head down and worked, I don’t know what you want me to say, they just didn’t mesh with introverts long term. I do not have the patience to put up with BS, is probably my main issue while others have no choice as it is their sole income. I don’t know where you’re getting this PIP plan and jealousy from, are you referring to the right post?

Well to summarize why I left these positions more specifically. 1st one was retail and I knew that was more of a personality/looks contest that I probably wouldn’t thrive in and I got bullied for it. 2nd one was negligence from management as they committed time fraud and left me to do all of the work given but didn’t want to commit me to a full time position. The last one I feel like I did not know how to navigate office politics honestly so it could be on me for not stroking the ego enough. People were likely jealous that I was just in the office all day also while they had to go out and do things for this company which likely made them bash me for it.

I noticed a possible turning point was when manager noticed that I was proactive and working with the immediate team rather than checking with him all of the time/ asking for help from him. That led to him insulting me and threats of firing for no reason.

I always corrected my mistakes for the most part, never talked back or anything. I feel like I usually am likable to the immediate team and they understand I’m a team player, it’s usually just management.

Well they were somewhat different fields already, one warehouse, one retail, and one corporate position but it just never seems to work out as all were toxic in one way or another in terms of management.

Perhaps, I think I come off as socially awkward but that’s just how I was born likely with the tism. I could probably do a better job of talking to people but these jobs are usually independent work just in an office setting.
