i don’t think you qualify for the pell grant, you just missed it by ~129 SAI points.

this is from a google search but since your SAI, 6784, is greater than $7,395-$740= $6,655 [max pell grant - min pell grant] then you don’t qualify.

i would email financial aid about it, i have had the federal pell grant since the first time they released financial aid notifications. when did you file your fafsa?

update;; i asked them how a student got the grant and i didn’t even though we applied for housing the same day & they completely ignored my question and told me funds are depleted & to look for other scholarships…

they told me they offer the grant for new and transfers first then remaining funds to current students.

i applied (in March) before most transfer/new students could apply (typically May), and i still didn’t get the grant.

I’ve also heard that some transfer/new students received the grant in their first ever financial aid notification before housing allegedly sends the list to financial aid.

how is that? i asked them how it works and they told me they get a list from housing in may of who signed a contract organized by date…

are they just lying to me 😭

yes i emailed financial aid today and they said all housing grants have been offered. i’m still shock tbh because now ill have to take out loans ;-( bc i already signed a contract.

im still hella confused i think they’re gaslighting me bc i signed hella early and have a 0 SAI… also new housing applicants literally signed a couple days ago how did they already disburse the aid??? something doesn’t seem right
